Chapter Six: Them repetitive ass names

"Tyler, Aden, Nate, James, Nick, Caden, Caleb, Mason , Damon, Hunter, Collin, Ryder, etc."

"Adrianna, Allison, Chloe, Mia, Charlie, Kayla, Maddie, Nikki, Nicole, Charlotte, Ashley, Brittney, etc."

See what I mean? Though, this repetitiveness is mostly a problem towards the boy names. But, y'all think your slick and 'creative' when you only change one letter or add some. For example;

________________________________

Aden, Aiden, Ayden

Caden, Kaden, or Kade, Cade, Cayden, Kayden, Kaiden, Caiden

Caleb, Caileb, Cayleb, Kaleb, Kaileb, Kayleb

Damon, Dravon, Damion, Damian, Damien

Like d*mn! What the Hell! I have never heard in real life someone named 'Hunter' and 'Ryder'. Which kind nonsense be this now?! What, are you training them to be warriors or something? Even though those names are eye-catching, who started this mess?!

Certainly not me that's for sure....

Then there are those authors that use their actual names in the book. I would totally do that if it wasn't for the fact that I have an African ass name.

I'll be honest, I have used some of these names in my books, so I'd be a hypocrite. But I don't add the unneeded 'i' 'y' 'e'. D*mn, why not invite the whole alphabet family while you're at it. Don't make it look ghetto as hell, got the sh*t lookin' like another Sharkiesha concoction. Please don't. If you are gonna go down the repetitive road, don't try to be 'unique' adding all these vowels, just write the normal original version. Like;

________________________

Aden, Tyler, Caden,Caleb

Damon- Oh, and please, do not bring Vampire Diaries into this mess. Damon Salvatore is fine on his own. Trust me.

You get the point, right?

Now, those names are perfectly (not really) fine, but it's just how often i see them that gets to me.
