Warning of the Old Man

We sang at the top of our voices as we drove on the empty highway! The Radio played 'Heart will go on' by Celine Dion and we sang the lyrics along... Dan slowed down as we neared a signboard that read 'Roseville Woods' It was cancelled and the word Haunted was scribbled besides it! 'Yikes... that's creepy' Hailey screeched in her High pitched voice! 'It's just some hideous joke' Robin told her to which Danny and I agreed in unison! It was cute so I smiled at him to which he smiled back... my heart did somersaults at that smile...When would I ever tell him how he affected me to such extents! Dan drove us into the Woods. The Roseville Village is at the heart of the woods, we reached quite fast.. It was around 3am when we alighted right in front of the gate of the Rouge house... It was easy to locate as it stood distinctly from the other houses, it was massive and Majestic. The village was deserted. I suppose it was the effect of the rumors. We stood admiring the gigantic gate with carved iron roses, that separated us from our adventure to find out about the Story of the 'Rose-leaving Ghost'. Through articles, books and rumors I had learnt how The last Daughter of the Rouge family-Rosette Rouge was murdered by the one she loved the most... They say her soul never found peace and she still wanders about the woods singing songs by day and capturing souls by night. She leaves a rose besides the lifeless forgotten bodies of souls she captures... It's scary but part of me wanted to know if things like this really happen! Just as we were about to push open the gates an old man with a typical haunted house look and a crooked stick came running to us... I thought I heard Adelle gasp. The man didn't speak but held paper boards in his hand.... The first one read 'Do Not speak just Read and Write!' we nodded in agreement to which he revealed the second board that read 'she is here she can hear you and understand what you say' Chris and Robin laughed... the man looked angry yet showed us the third board.. 'if you love your life return, this is not a joke' Dan gestured asking for something to write with and a board... He wrote "If you say so why are you here?" The old Man smiled and gave us the last board... we looked at the board it read "Foolish Human I'm already long dead! Leave while you can" we looked up and all around us but the Old man was nowhere to be seen. "OMG what does he mean please guys lets leave" Hailey yelled and Chris said "it's all a silly prank... Just calm-the-hell-down".  "Shhhhh"Danny held my hand and signaled everyone to stop talking and listen... on paying attention we heard the faint singing of a melody

that leaves your soul to bleed"

We looked in the direction of the voice... a very pretty girl stood there... She looked about 20 years old, long lustrous hair falling gracefully over her shoulders, she was dressed in red and looked adorable. She stopped singing and looked towards us... Her face started growing Pale and teardrops of blood rolled down her face. No longer did she look like the innocent girl we saw... she looked monstrous her hair growing rougher and messy as she cried... The Old man from earlier came once more and Yelled 'Go Away all of you... Go away Adelle' and both the mysterious girl and old man disappeared. All of us turned to Adelle... I went closer and asked"Adelle do you know...?" at that she began crying "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry I knew about this, I knew it was a bad idea... but My Grandfather Paul had come here and he never returned again.. I thought maybe I'd find out but... That old man It was him... I didn't realize until he took my name... I'm so sorry guys I got you'll into this... we can leave right away. Please forgive me" Chris held her close and rubbed her back, kissing her on her forehead he said, It's okay baby we know how much your family matters to you, we'll wait and find out what exactly happened. Be Strong. I love you." "we all love you" I added...

Thus we walked into that house not knowing it was the worst decision ever! At least we were together and happy now.
