Chapter 31: School's Over Party

"Are you ready?" I ask Bentley knowing that what I'm going to do is so weird but good, mom convinced me to do it. I collect him and his bag of stuff, then head downstairs tossing mom a knowing glare,

"This is the right thing to do Riley now go do it before your date gets here," mom says and I push myself out the door, I'm ready for the party dressed in a pair of light blue jeans a black tank top, and brown heels, with large hoop earrings and light makeup. I take a deep breath and then cross the grass to Alec's house not ready to face him, mom set up the whole thing with him watching Bentley but I have to drop him off, and I'm worried. I put on the bracelet Alec gave me and I'm not even sure why. I hide it under the dogs fur, he's getting quite big and heavy, I ring the doorbell, and within the minute the door slowly opens. I see Alec's face and bite my lip,

"Hi," I say, awkwardly

"Hi," he sighs, he looks good

"Um well thanks for doing this, your sure you don't want to go to the party because I can just-"

"Riley," his breath hitches at the sound of my name he looks down clears his throat and looks back up, "Its fine,"

"Okay then, he's already been fed, but if he's hungry you can just ask my mom, um..." I say awkwardly there's a horn behind me and I turn to see the girls and their dates in Adam's truck,

"Come on let's go!" Someone shouts I turn back to Alec who turns his gaze to me,

"Okay thanks again," I say then turn and start down the stairs I run back up and hand him the bag,

"Your wearing my bracelet," he says,

"Oh um yeah, I am," I say

"Riley come on!" Someone shouts again

"Okay well you've got to go so see you later," Alec says and I rush down the stairs and into the car.

"How was that?" Sarah asks once I'm buckled in,

"Horrible," I say, remembering the way his voice hitched we get to the party which is playing loud music. And start dancing right away.

"Did I tell you how good you look?" Adam asks

"No but that's not necessary," I say

"Oh yes it is,"

"Thanks," I say laughing lightly, we take some shots, by time midnight comes around, Adam and I find ourselves in a bedroom, our lips snacking together and our bodies crashing. And that night in that random room, against Sarah's and Jessica's comments completely against it, I find myself tired from the night I just had which included losing my virginity to Adam Levine which also secured our relationship.
Thursday Afternoon Riley's Girls Weekend
"Are you finally ready?" Sarah groans as I throw my last bag into the back of my car,

"Yes I am," I hug mom and say goodbye to the kids

"Okay so the concert is Saturday and I promised your mom if have you back Monday sometime, oh and you've got the first shift," Sarah says,

"What?" I ask but relentlessly jumping into the car, I told Sarah and Jess about me and Adam the day after it happened and they freaked out, I simply said sorry not sorry.
