Chapter 2: The New Boy

My alarm clock sang the song We Can't Stop by Miley Cyrus, and I rolled over and slapped the top of it. Ugh I am so tired from those stupid boys last night, I walked over to my closet grabbed a dark pair of Aeropostale shorts, a pair of under wear, and a baby blue shirt that has low arm holes and adidas on it,I grabbed a blue bando and searched for my favourite bra, only to remember Alec freaking Rinder had it! Instead I grabbed a blue push up bra to match the shirt and hit the shower. After being fully dressed I dried my hair with a blow dryer, grabbed my purse and phone, with my textbooks. And applied light makeup that was pink eyeshadow a black eyeliner with a wing, and mascara. I went downstairs to see Ava, Mark, dad and mom in the kitchen. I grabbed the seat next to Mark who was playing minecraft, "Good morning sweat heart," mom said, "Good morning," I grumbled, pouring myself some vector cereal, "You don't look so good," Dad said, "Well I didn't get any sleep last night because of the new neighbour, he was up partying all night," I say, adding milk and eating it. 7:20 I was making good time, "Awe sorry Hun I'll talk to Marie," mom said, smiling, I assume she and Marie are getting along well. I finished my cereal placed it in the sink before I left with dad right behind me, I went over to my car got in and watched as Alec Rinder, got on his helmet and jumped on the shiny motorbike. Wait a second that thing is his, I watched him start it up, he caught me staring and winked, what the shit?! Dad pulled out and drove off and I followed behind him just as mom and Ava came out. I drove to school and parked then went inside, classes don't start until 8:10 but we aren't allowed to be late as usual. I go to my locker throw my things in and collect my morning books, I hear gasps, and moans, and turn just in time to see Alec strolling towards the office, he comes out a few minutes later and I follow behind him taping him on the shoulder. He sticks his finger out at me, as he finishes opening. His locker, then turns and smiles, "Where is it?" I ask him, "What darling?" He asks emphasizing darling, "You know exactly what, why the hell did you take my bra and where is it?!" I whisper yell, "You'll never know," he says smiling, then grabbing the same books as I have, no freaking way does he have the same classes as me! He winks and strolls off, Jess comes running up to me, "Do you see the new guy isn't he drool worthy?" She squeals, "More like puke worthy," I say, she gasps, "What?!" She shrieks, "He was up all night partying and then he stole my favourite bra!" I yell walking to Mr. Peters class, "The black and white polka dot one?" She asks, I nod, "Awe that one made your boobs look so good!" She pouts, I walk to the second last row and sit down. "Good morning class, as some of you are aware we have a new student," i snort, "Alec Rinder," Alec waves winking at a few girls, I groan ugh. This is going to be a long four months. We start our history lesson and I take a few notes here as there, I feel a tap on my shoulder, "Riley, Riley," Alec says, "Riley can I borrow a pencil?" Alec asks, I reach into my pencil case and pass him a pencil, a few minutes later there is another tap on my shoulder, "Riley, hey Riley" Alec says, I spin around, "What do you want?" I ask in a hushed whisper, "Do you have a piece of paper?" He asks I turn around and grab him two pieces of paper handing them to him. When the bell rings I watch as he stands and hands Tiana Clandestine a piece of paper. She is one of the rudest persons I know she is the slut of the school which therefore makes her very popular. The bell rang and I continued on to the next class with Rinder right behind me, he bothered me the whole class again. Finally the last bell rang letting us out for lunch I went to my locker where Jess was already waiting, why couldn't I have had all the same classes as her? "Hey how's the new guy?" Jess winked at me, "He bothered me throughout the whole entire physics lesson and I didn't get any noted as well as history." I said grabbing my purse and slamming the locker door, and walking to the cafeteria. I got a pizza, yogurt, Coke, and jello. I walked with my lunch to the library where we usually ate, "So what did you do on the weekend?" Jess asked casually, "Besides purvey boys and staying up al night, I watched gossip girl, you?" I asked she groaned, "Embrace the guys maybe you'll make more friends, plus you always say that you like boys better because their less dramatic," Jess says taking a bite of her salad, "I'm not sure I want to hang out with pervs," I say biting into my still warm pizza. We talk about sweet nothing until lunch is over, school finishes after 3 more annoying classes that Alec Rinder is in. And he sat behind me on purpose so he could tap my shoulder for a paper and pencil, so he could hand his number out to the worst girls. Finally I grabbed my history and calculus books, grabbed my purse and walked out to my car. "Hey Riles!" I heard Jess's familiar voice, "Yeah," I said turning around, "Hey can you give me a ride home mom came and grabbed my car halfway through the day," she said, "Sure no problem," I said she walked over to the passenger side and got in. Jess lived in a whole other subdivision but, I didn't mind though it beats sitting at home doing homework. The ride was silent as Jess fought with someone on the phone when I stopped at the bottom of her driveway she thanked me and walked up to her house. I got home at 3:20, and mom was just getting there to drop off Ava, I followed up behind her, "Mom I can get the kids after school you know I honestly don't mind," I say, "But how can I guarantee that you won't get them candy every day," mom said throwing Ava's bag on the couch and walking to the kitchen, "Plus it's a nice break for me, I'll stick around here for an hour then go back to work forty minutes," Mom said as I followed her and sat at the island, "But then you could come home for a lunch," I said, "And I would also be lonely really I like it," mom said, I sighed I lost again. "Alright, is dad going to be home this week?" I asked, "Yes for the next two and half weeks he assured me, just doing clients and things around here." Because of my dad's job, an international commercial broker, he was out of town a lot mom was a secretary/book keeper at a company dad insured. Mom leaned against the counter playing on her phone, then sighed and walked to the dining room as her phone rang. I heard her answer and I wandered upstairs, I opened my door and walked in I threw my bag on my bed and put my textbooks on the desk and sat down in front of them. "Ohhhh Riley!" Alec shouted making me jump upwards, he chuckled, "Where's my bra?" I shouted back not looking at him, "Already Riles? What took you so long?" He asked sighing then moving on, "It doesn't matter to you," I said flipping open my calculus textbook, "Okay but just so you know last night I stole the matching panties," Alec said, this made me look over at him, "What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked, "Woah calm down its just a joke," Alec said, "If you really want them come over and look for then," he said, I replied by slamming my window, and closing the curtains. I heard a thump at my window, and I opened my curtains, I saw my matching black and white polka dot lace underwear sliding down the roof, I immediately opened the window. I pulled my hair up into a bun and started to climb out the window, was he crazy? I slowly climbed onto the roof and walked down to the bottom where my underwear was, I snatched it up in my fingers, and crawled back up into my room. "Bra?" I said once I was in my room, "Come and get it," he said, "You know you want to Riles," he said, I heard the doorbell ring and he didn't move just looking amused at me deciding whether I should go or stay. I slam my window and close the window yet again, can't he take a hint? I need to think of a revenge plan. A few seconds later I see him leave his room and sprint down the stairs. I continue doing my homework until at 9:45 it's all done. I see the lights go out in the Rinders house and Alec hasn't been around for a while, so I assume he's gone. At 9:57 I can tell everyone is sleeping and I opening my window deciding this is the best time to look for my bra. I walk down to the edge, and try not to look down, then I stretch my leg across and reach the other roof pulling myself across, I make it and sigh in relief before I climb into his room, which stinks and is a total mess. The door is closed so I can move around freely, I check under the bed, nope, in the bed, nope, in his closet, but it's not there either. I check in the desk, everywhere and it isn't anywhere to be found, I look around his room trying to find a prank I could use I remember seeing a whole bunch of condoms in his closet drawer I walk over to it, I grab a box and start throwing them all over the floor, chucking a few on his bed, his desk, in his closet, his window sill until I'm out. I grab the next box and open the door as quietly as I can and put a few in a line towards his door from the top of the stairs to his room and some other rooms, I even throw some down the stairs. I chuckle lightly and put the two empty boxes back in their spot before I climb out the way I came, as I start to crawl down, I see a pair of headlights coming down the road, and jump not thinking about it. I see the car pull into Alec's driveway, I close my window, lock it, and pull the curtains closed. I change into pjs before I go into the washroom to run a comb through my hair, and brush my teeth, I swear this is the fastest I've ever gotten ready for bed, I plug in my phone, grab the snoopy stuffed animal(yes I sleep with stuffed animals, it's something to hold onto don't freak out!) wipe my face of the makeup and jump into bed under my covers and turn my back to the window waiting silently. "What the hell?!" I hear him ask trying to be quiet, "Alec Matthew get to bed!" Marie's familiar voice yells, I turn over slightly to see him quickly picking up condoms, from outside his bedroom door. Then he races into his room, and he looks over my way where I stay absolutely still, he smiles and continues to pick the rest of the condoms up, "Good one Devin," I hear him mutter, oh god, oh god, he knows it was me! He is going to kill me! I scream inside my head, I wake up the next morning to my phone blasting renegades, and I open my eyes gently. Growling as the sun shines through the window above my desk, my room is pretty nice, I have two windows showing lots of natural sunlight. For furniture I have a white desk and black chair, one of those round chairs that are huge, it super fuzzy and blue, my bed and closet. If you walk in the doorway, on the right is my dresser and behind that there is my bed, the dresser acts like a headboard sort of. It feels sort of claustrophobic at first but the it opens up, to the left of the door way I have my closet which is pretty big, when you come around my bed there is the blue chair at the end of my bed against the wall and then a window beside that with a small bookcase underneath the window, on the wall beside that there is another larger window with a day bed in it, and across from the doorway is my desk. Beside my closet there is a sliding door that goes into my very own ensuite. It has a nice glass shower to the right when you first walk in, a toilet across from that, and then on the left there is the counter. The only downfall is I have to share it with the public. Across from my sliding door is the door to the public which stays locked mostly, outside that door is another door which is Ava's bedroom, Ava and Mark share a Jack and Jill bathroom which is why their bathroom cannot be opened to the public because it is a complete disaster. After a short distance Mark's doorway is there and then mom and dads on the right of the staircase which is the master bedroom. I grab a towel from the closet and lock both my doors, then head into the shower quickly, after getting out of the shower I brush my teeth, comb, and blow dry my hair, then get dressed. I change into a pair of nice light blue coloured jean short shorts, and a black tank top that has buttons on the back. I would wear the push up bra that makes my boobs look better but, someone has that. I put on my usual pink eyeshadow, black eyeliner, black mascara, foundation, makeup and trot down the stairs happily. Tuesday's are my favourite days. I sit beside Mark and jab him in the side, "Don't!" He screams mom scowls at me, I roll my eyes, I see dad come out of the living room, he comes over and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek, "Morning sweetheart," he says smiling, "Morning dad," I say smiling, he puts the box of vector on the island, an milk I nod at him, and he places two bowls on the island, mom prepared lunches. "Hun can you pick the kids up after school it's going to be a late day," mom says, "I can!" I say jumping up, "No I forgot to ask you last night if you could babysit the neighbours kids and I kinda already volunteered you," mom says cringing, as I finding pouring my milk. "Okay sure," I say, "Oh actually? Well she said she'll pay you," mom said sounding surprised I finish my cereal and down the milk, before I jump up and away, "Be there by 3:15!" Mom shouts as I leave the house, when I get in my car I dial Jess. "hello?" She asks in her morning voice, "Hi do you need a ride?" I ask, "No mom will drive me thanks though," she says, just as I'm about to reply she hangs up, I check the time and realize it's still 7:45, that's half an hour to school, I decide to drive to Tim Hortons and get a coffee, then see how much time I have, "Hello welcome to Tim Hortons can I take your order?" A man says, "Yes I'll get a half French Vanilla half coffee, and a- medium, and a chocolate chip muffin," I say really fast, "Alright one medium half French half coffee and a chocolate chip muffin is that everything?" He asks, "Yes please," I say, "That'll be $5.10 at the second window please," he says, I am ready to drive off when I remember I don't have a lunch, "Um sorry can I add something to that?" I ask, "For sure ma'am, what'll it be?" He asks, "One large Ham and Swiss please," I say, "Okay no problem, so that'll come too $11.05 at the second window thank you," he says I drive forward until I get to the second window. I open up my compartment that has all my change I find 10.05 I look in my wallet and find one more dollar, "That's $11.05," he says, he looks pretty cute, I hand him the money, and he counts it, "Thank you," he says handing me my coffee, and a bag with my food. "Would you like the receipt?" He says, I wave it off then start driving away. Now it's 7:55, I have to wait in my car for 5 minutes which is okay since I have my muffin to eat. When it's 8 o'clock I get out and go inside the school, I head straight to my locker, and open it up. Other students start filling in and I grab my morning books, I hear footsteps coming up behind me, and before I have the chance to move. I feel a hand smack my ass hard, my hand runs down to the burning spot on my ass, "Ow!" I scream turning around, but no ones there I turn back to my locker and jump, when Alec is standing there smiling, "Good one Devin," he says leaning against the lockers, "I don't know what your talking about," I say closing my locker slowly, "You know you do, the condoms, my room, my house..." He says slowly, "Ohhhh that," I say smiling, "You liked that it was the least I could do you stole my favourite bra," I say, "But your boobs still look amazing Devin," he says poking me in the side, I pull my books closer to my chest, "Pervert, and don't you ever touch my ass again," I say, glaring at him, "Okay jeez, hey can you do me a favour?" He asks, "Not while I'm living," I say walking towards first block, "Please?" He asks, "What is it?" I ask, pretending to care, "I need you to pick me up after school, at Kalo-tire," he says, "Hmm nope," I say, "What?" He says I look over at him and he looks broken, "Beg me," I say, I set my stuff on the back desk, "Riley Something Devin will you please pick me up after school?" Alec says, he's on one knee with his hands held together, I pretend to think for awhile, "Nope," I say sitting down, "I have to babysit dyer school," he growls and the bell goes he sits beside me. We go through class and today Jess isn't here so I have to sit in the cafeteria by myself, embarrassing. "Riley fucking Devin, alone again?" I hear Alec ask, I groan, "Alone again naturally," I sing, "Just stop singing," he says, all the boys take a seat on my table, Dylan, Joe, Chase, Kevin and Alec. Those boys are so hot, except for Alec, "What do you got for lunch?" Alec said, "Please don't tell me your sitting with me?" I asked, "You'd rather be alone?" He asked, "As long as your away from me," I say, "Awe good thing I'm staying here," Alec says, I pull out my Tim's sandwich and take a bite, the boys open their plastic bags and start eating, while laughing and talking. "Hey Alec!" I hear a girl call, I hear the click of her heels, I don't even have to turn to see Tiana Clandestine coming Alec's way. "T girl!!" He yells, as she nears closer to him, she slaps him on the shoulder, he runs it, "Don't call me that," she says, "Anyways darling what are you doing tonight?" I almost puke she bends down seductively, and whispers something in Alec's ear he nods and she stands up, "Boys," she says nodding, she looks at me disgust written on her face, "Riley," she spits the word then walks away. I grab my paper bag and squish it, the boys high five Alec, I groan, the bell rings and I throw out my empty bag, and walk to my locker, I grab my chemistry book and walk to class, the day goes fast after that, beside Alec bothering me every five minutes. I grab my purse, and get out my keys and phone, I see Alec leaning over the lockers, and I kick his ass, not expecting him to grab my leg and lift it up as he spins around. His eyes go wide as I fall to the ground, crying out in pain as I hear something snap in my left wrist. "Oh shit Riley, are you okay?" Alec asks panics, "No I'm not," I say, he picks me up bridal style and carries me out to my car, I'm surprised he knows which one it is I unlock the car as he opens the passenger door, "What are you doing?" I ask panicked as he sets me in the passenger side. "I'm driving you to the hospital that," he gestures to my wrist, "Doesn't look good," he says, "No your not," I say but he buckles me in taking the keys from me,"my mom has the same kind I'm car." He says, I try to distract myself from the pain in my wrist. Instead I think about when Alec noticed that I was falling and how instantly he ditched his hook up to pack me out to the car, I remember the ways his arms felt around me, strong. "Are you okay?" Alec says breaking me from my thought, "Yeah," say I get out of the car screaming out in pain as i try to close the door with my, I think broken, wrist. Alec grabs my right wrist and pulls me into the emergency room, "Hi, she broke her left wrist!" Alec says running to the reception the nurse comes out and tells Alec to fill out a form, of which I tell him everything, as I call mom, she doesn't answer. The nurse ushers us back to a room and a doctor in a long white lab coat comes into the room, "Hello what have we got here?" The doctor comes over to me, "She broke her wrist!" Alec yells someone's panicked, "How does it feel?" The doctor asks me, "Painful," I say, "Alright well let's take a look at it," He says taking my wrist in his hand? Pain shooting in it, "Well your lucky it's only a bad sprain," he says, "Sarah can you please get me the sprained wrist cast," he says, "Wait cast? No, no, no," I say, I sigh, "It's not the kind your thinking, I know how you terms hate them." He says as the lady comes back into the room, it's a small black cat that straps on with velcro, "Keep this on all day, and ice it for, 30 minutes before bed, it'll keep the swelling down. If it still hurts you can take Advil, and if the swelling is not going down come back to me and we'll see if it's a break but it all looks good." He says shaking my good hand and leaving the room, we walk out of the hospital quietly when we get outside I punch Alec hard, "Thanks a lot asswhole!" I say taking my keys from him, and getting in the car, "Oh please it's only a sprain your lucky," Alec says, I drop him off at the school, I'm now late to babysitting, he drives to Kalo-tire and drops off his bike and then gets in with me. We are quiet the whole way to his house, I drop off my car and stuff at home, then head over to Marie's. "Hi sorry I'm late," I say, when she opens the door, "No problem, what happened?" She asks me, gesturing to my wrist, "Oh um Alec caught my leg and I fell over," I say walking into the house, "and for some reason I think Alec was apart of it more then that, anyhow the kids are in their rooms, I'm going to go finish getting ready," she says, I walk into the house further, hopefully this is going to be easy. Within 15 minutes Marie leaves and I'm left alone, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs I see Alec. "I hope you know I'm still in pain," I say groaning, "Sorry," he says, walking over to the living room where I'm currently sat. "To make it up to you what do you want to watch? The walking dead?" He asks sitting down beside me on the couch, "No, how about gossip girl? Cougar town? Sex and the city?" I say smiling, "I like the last one it shows lots of titties," he says, I slap him, "Alec!" I scream sinking farther into the couch, "Okay Gossip girl it is," I say flicking through the channels they have the same channels as us luckily, and with the same company. I flick on gossip girl with the most recent episode not actually paying any attention. "Swimming! Can we go swimming?!" I hear kids shouting, and start to think over each of their names, "I want to go swimming!" The littlest one, Kimberly, said, "Woah children," I said as all 3 of them shouted out, "Okay everyone go get some swimsuits," I said, "Hey Riles I can go pick out your swimsuit," Alec said wiggling his eyebrows, "And what pick the tiniest one you can find?" I asked standing, "No I wouldn't pick one, birthday suit it is," I slapped at the back of his head, "Pervert!" I screamed, I went upstairs and into Alec's room I climbed across our houses and grabbed a swimsuit. It was a black two piece, the bottoms was a mini skirt, and the top was two triangles for the boobs, and a tie up, as most are, I didn't know if they went together but I chose them anyways. I changed and then started to climb back across, I walked into his window surprised to see the curtains closed, did I leave them that way? I got over the window sill and started to walk into his room when I saw him huddled over by his closet, changing out of his boxers, "Ahhhh!" I screamed closing my eyes and putting my hands over them, I ran straight and thumped into the door, I heard him screaming over my screams. And I finally opened the door with my good hand, and went outside, "Oh boy Ben, Alec's got another one of his girlfriends over," Natalie, one of the twins sighed, "What do you mean?" I asked her, bending over, "Alec always has girls in his room and they always scream," she says walking down the stairs with her brother, Kimberly follows close behind them. I blush at this thought, and then gag as I try to get the image out of my mind, I wonder if I can go swimming with my cast? I hear dad in the neighbouring lawn and walk over to the fence, "Hey dad?" I ask, standing on my tippy toes, "Girly! I saw your stud at the front door but you weren't home," dad says throwing his hands into the air, "I'm babysitting, can I go into the pool with this?" I ask, showing him my wrist, "No what happened?" He asks walking over to me, "Well Alec grabbed my leg and I fell backward," I say, chuckling it was a smooth move actually, dad glares at the kids before answering, "Klutz," he says, "Dad!" I yell, "Anyways can I take it off it happened like 15 minutes ago?" I ask, "You probably shouldn't, but they make water proof ones now, just stick your hand in to see, if not it gets a little wet and you have to let it air dry," dad says, "Riles!" Ava screams her curly, bleach blonde hair flying everywhere, "Ava!" I scream, "Can I come swimming?" Ava asks, "Ask dad and if you can I'll meet you at the front door bring Mark," I say, dad says no to Ava as I leave and I'm glad babysitting six kids yuck, (Alec is included in that). I hear everyone pop out of the house, "Life jackets everyone!" I say grabbing the life jackets as everyone jumps into them, my wrist hurts. "Damn, Devin can't get enough of me!" Alec shouts from behind me as I do the last jacket up, "Oh please," I said, "At least I didn't break someone's arm," I say, "Wrist," he corrects, "And the doctor said it was a sprain you'll be out of that thing soon enough," Alec says smiling. "I'm grabbing a drink," he says walking back into the house, I can't help but stare, at the way his muscles in his back look.
