Esme's POV
Paddling down the river. That's all we did, and my backside ached from sitting on it for seemingly endless hours. My legs were cramped from not being able to use them during the time on the boat. I sat up in my spot at the front of the boat, and I would always change position every 10 minutes or so (not that there was many positions to begin with).
It was boring and I spent my time either sleeping or doing anything productive as it can get. As some examples, I started hanging my head over the edge of the boat, letting my hair soak in the water. When I started getting pains in my neck, I would fling my head up, purposely splattering all the water over Gimli.
It even got so boring, that I started doing things with the water. I continually played for hours on end with the water, lifting a blob of it into the air and morphing it into any shape I wanted. There many times when I had tried to persuade Legolas into giving me the paddle, but the stubborn elf would never let me and continued paddling. I even went as far as getting the water to grab the paddle out of his hands and into mine, but that moment was short lived when both Legolas and Gimli wrestled it off me as the others all laughed at our antics.
Right now, I was sitting up properly at the front of the boat. I had made a blob of water shape into a paddle and now I'm currently paddling with Legolas. I could tell the two were fed up of trying to get me stop so they let me be. Unfortunately, it quickly became boring and I had sudden idea to anoy everyone for entertainment. I cleared my throat before I opened my mouth.
"Row, row, row your boat.
Gently down the stream.
Merily, merily, merily, merily.
Life is but a dream."
"Row, row, row your boat.
Gently down the stream.
Tip your teacher overboard,
and listen to her scream.
Five days later,
nothing to be seen.
Except the teacher's underwear,
floating down the stream."
