Bucky Barnes AKA The Winter Soldier

Prompt:

You have helped Bucky from the start. You're the one who helped him with his apartment and helping him try and track down his memories. Since Bucky is back in Cryo freeze in the Wakanda you don't think it's fair. You free him and help him with his brain stuff.

It's been a couple days since Bucky was put into cryo freeze, it's even less guarded than before because Steve agreed to not go by it. I can take out this soldier guarding it and help Bucky. It might sound crazy but for the time being he knows who we all are.

I sneak up behind the soldier and knock him out, easy. I look at Bucky, frozen. It's not the best thing for him, I told Steve I could have helped him but this is what Bucky wanted, I don't get to make decisions for him. I unlock the chamber and Bucky falls into my arms, he's heavier than he looks.

He slowly starts regaining consciousness and I smile, "Buck, it's me. (Y/n)."

"(Y/n)? What the hell is happening? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything's fine. I'm here to help you."

"(Y/n), I already know who I am-"

"I can get the stuff out of your head."

"You can what?"

"Yeah. All of it, but it will take sometime."

"Just do it."

"It won't hurt. We can talk if you want."

"Uh, okay. How long have I been out?"

I start fixing his mind with my power, "A couple days."

"Does Steve know you're doing this?"

"Your boyfriend? No. And don't tell him."

"When would I have time to do that?"

"When you're able to be released I guess."

I start clouding his mind about the words he was given to be able to let go of control. Half the words are done by the time I have to look like I'm still in bed, or get a good enough sleep and then I have to erase the guards memory and the security cameras footage.

Bucky starts getting ready to go back into Cryo freeze but he asks me a question first, "Why are you helping me? After all the pain I caused, after all of everything?"

"Because why not?" I lie, "Your a friend who needs help."

Bucky doesn't look like he believes it but it gives me enough time to get everything done and get four hours of sleep.

The Next Night...

I did the same thing to the guard as the night before and get Bucky out of Cryo.

"How are you feeling?" I ask

"A bit fuzzy. Are you sure this is working?"

"Yes. I'm almost done."

"What did you mean, a few minutes ago?"

"You mean last night? A friend? Bucky you're my friend and I can help you." I lie again

"I was trained to look past someone with a fake mask."

"What is that suppose to mean?"

I start clouding his mind once more.

"Meaning they did something to you didn't they? Those people-"

"Yeah. Yeah they did."

"What did they do?"

"That's not important."

"It is."

"They made me what I am today."

"Who are you today?"

"A monster."

"You're not a monster."

"I am."

"No, you're not."

"How do you know?"

"What are you doing now?"

"Helping you, trying to-"

"Do monsters help people?"

"No."

"Then you're not a monster."

"I was."

"But not now. Look at me."

I do.

"Steve convinced me I was worth saving, I'm here to convince you, you are to."

"Well, you can once you feel better about your mind."

"I will, over a drink."

I blush, "What kinda drink?"

"Any drink you want and maybe you can be my dance partner."

"I can't dance."

"I'll teach you."

"I don't want to step on your feet."

"You won't."

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

"I'll see you tomorrow."

I close up Bucky in cryo freeze. Till tomorrow.
