A/N: So, I thought I'd upload the little chapter I've got. It's in a different POV, but I think it's quite important to the story. Hope you like it :)

Chapter Thirty-Seven

CAPTAIN'S POV

I'm just seeing Cain out. “I'm glad you're better Cain, but you really shouldn't be here. Not with Dani here and not without calling first.”

He frowns in confusion and then says, “Paul said it was ok. He said he'd talked to Dani about it.”

Something doesn't sit right with me. Especially seeing as Dani has taken a disliking to him. Dani doesn't just dislike someone and she never voices her opinion about these things. I should have thought that was strange a few weeks ago.

As Cain and I round the corner to Dani's section of the office, I see Paul pressed against her. He's pinned her to the cabinets and she doesn't look pleased about it. In fact, she looks absolutely petrified. Paul's kissing her and groping her and it takes me a moment to figure out what's going on here. Before I can even react, Cain has grabbed Paul and thrown him to the other side of the room. He stops Paul from leaving and he stops him from going near Dani again. Everything seems like it happens in slow motion but also too quickly at the same time.

Cain yells at me, “Check her! Make sure she's ok!”

This is a turn up for the books. Cain is defending Dani after he did pretty much the same thing, if I can piece everything together correctly. Dani never went into details and Cain obviously didn't either. Dani has now scooted under her desk, she's hiding away trembling like a leaf in a winter gale. I whisper, “Dani?”

She shouts out something in Russian, I think, but I don't understand it. She cries out like she's in pain and I have no clue how to deal with this situation. I know she won't want me to go near her, she's already tried to back off a few times. I hear her whisper Eli's name. She sounds so broken and so fragile. I quickly say, “Dani, it's Captain Michaels. I'm going to get Eli now. I won't be long.”

I snatch up her handset and dial Eli's number. He doesn't answer. Surely he's finished with training by now. I try him again; still no answer. I try Ash, no answer. I call Simon up in the training room and try to keep my voice level and calm as I ask for Eli. He's just left, so I try his cell again. I growl, “Pick up your freaking cell, Ramirez!” Just as I think it's going to go to voicemail, he picks up.

“It's about freaking time!”

“Cap? What's wrong?”

“We've got a situation. Dani needs you. Now!”

“I'm on my way. Give me 20 seconds.”

I sigh and kneel down in front of Dani, trying to reassure her. It's not working. Her breathing is all over the place and I'm worried she's going to go into cardiac arrest.
