Chapter Six

They pulled into Phil's driveway.

Phil pulled the keys out of he ignition slowly.

"phil?" dan sad, breaking the silence

"yeah?" Phil responded

"I need to talk to you about what happened" Dan said, trying to look Phil in the eyes.

Phil turned his head and looked towards Dan, looking into his eyes.

"i'm so so sorry" Dan started to cry "I knew he'd be home and i still invited you over" Dan turned his head and looked down at his feet "Something could've happened to you. Why didn't you leave?"

Phil reached over and placed his hand on Dan's shoulder.

"and something could've happened to you," Dan looked back to Phil. "I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to you"

They sat in the car for a couple more seconds, awkwardly staring at each other. Phil finally unlocked the car doors and got up, Dan followed.

They walked up to the side door and went inside.

"hey mum!" Phil exclaimed to his mom as he walked into the door.

Dan followed in and closed the door.

"Phil? Who's the young man you've brought home?" Asks Phil's mom

"That's Dan, a friend from school. His parents are out of town so I told him he could stay here" Phil replies

"Hi Mrs. Lester" Dan awkwardly says, covering up his face

"Hello Dan!" Phil's mom cheerily replies

"Come on Dan" Phil calls to Dan while heading up the stairs

Dan follows Phil into his room, he places his bag on the floor.

"So this is my room" Phil announces while jumping onto his bed

"It's nice up here, nicer than my house" Dan replies while walking over to Phil.

"I know we've been talking very seriously a lot today, but I want to make something clear" Phil trails off

"What about?" Asks Dan, when he obviously knows what Phil is trying to say.

"The kiss......" Phil trails off and looks down at the bed.

The room goes silent.

"I'm sorry, it was a mistake" Phil broke the silence

"oh...." Dan trails off and looks down at his hands.

"Unless you liked it....." Phil looks up.

"Is it bad if i did?" Dan asks, looking into Phil's eyes.

"Not at all" Phil blushes.

"Are you comfortable with me?" Asks Dan

"Why wouldn't I be?" Asks Phil

Dan leans into Phil, lips almost touching.

"Is this comfortable?" whispers Dan.

"No," Phil replies "But this is"

Phil fills up the small space between their lips, and locks in a kiss. He places his hand around Dan's waist and pulls him onto his lap.

Dan wraps his hand around Phil's neck, pulling him closer. They're interrupted by Phil's mom.

"Boys! Dinner's ready!"

Dan backs away from Phil awkwardly.

"We can eat up here and watch a movie or something."
