"Caleb... that's your cousin Jackson over there right?" I asked, my voice shaking

"Yup..." He stared back, he took off the hoodie and gave it to me, "Zip that up, so he won't see you're a boy..." He stood in front of me while Dani joined him, Kay stood with Dani glaring at Jackson as he walked over with Mike

"Jai it is you! And Caleb, and Dani! Wow, haven't seen you two in forever..." Mike smiled

"Actually Mike, I saw you making out with a pineapple two days ago at a party..." Caleb laughed

"That wasn't me-me that was my wasted, possibly evil alter-ego; Drunken Mike!" He boasted

"Is that really something to be proud of?" Kay asked smirking at Mike, she was actually ignoring Jackson, and I thought she'd break him like a door... which reminds me... she still owes me a door...

"Yes, yes it is, because no matter what I have a new story to tell, and usually a new friend from it. Right Jai?" he winked

"Uh yeah. Right, fruit-boy." I grinned back, this is going alright so far...

"Hey Jai... Kayla, Caleb, Dani... Why are all of you here?" Jackson asked

"I'm friends with Dani, Caleb came with us and Jai was here and we all crashed together." Kay said. Nice sis... smooth.

"Okay... Kayla, I'm not sure you got my message yet... can I talk to you in private?" Jackson asked

"Why Jacks?" she glared

"I need to explain myself... and apologize." Jacks sighed

"...fine." I saw Kay sigh out, she's very forgiving... but if I see her cry I won't be.

"What's going on Mike?" I asked as they walked away

"Well... Jacks kinda hurt her feelings by saying he'd 'never go out with a girl like that'"

"That's a dick thing to say to a confession" I glared at him understanding why Kay was so crushed, she's sensitive about herself, more than other girls because she sees models at her school, and then mom at home... even though she's pretty too...

"It's not like that Jai, he's... pretty banged up about girls in general... actually you're the first he ever talked to about his mom..." Mike mused, "Guess he feels more comfortable with you, but ever since his mom left and his dad's always working. So he actually hates women because his mom left them, no warning; nothing... then all the girls at school don't like him, 'for him' just his career and face... so I talked some sense into him. He's apologizing to Kayla now..." Mike explained

"..." I couldn't speak... a frigging knowledge bomb has been dropped and now my ass is all nuked with feels...

"Jai? Talk to me, what are you thinking?"

"I'm just baffled that YOU 'talked sense' into Jackson..." I smirked, crap how do I get out of this?!

"Right, right. Gotcha, anyways why are you here?"

"Jacks is a fan of this chalk artist, and I was at his place when he decided to come here and get his fan girl on."

"ah, I see." I nodded

"What about you?" Mike asked back

"Yeah, Fleeting is awesome." Dani smiled

"Liars, you hesitated." Mike noted, "It's not my business what you're doing with Jacks' cousins; but don't hurt him okay? He's had enough..." Mike looked at me hard

"Yeah, well I don't control the future Michael, so we'll just have to play it by ear..." I growled, my voice going lower than intended, Mike's eyes widened a bit.

"My name's Mike. I'm watching you Jai." He warned

"Fine by me, enjoy the show." I shot back

"I will, only because I'm sure you'll entertain me... cutie." He smirked

I kicked his shin, hard. "Don't call me 'cute' it's stupid." I scoffed

"Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaai!" Kay came back to me and grabbed my arm, "We have a problem..." she whispered

"There was a misunderstanding between you and Jackson, now you forgive him and feel guilty for the fact that we have to come clean?" I mused, whispering back

"How'd you-"

"I feel the same, I know the reason now..." I sighed, "How should we tell him?"

"I don't know... but as soon as possible." She pouted, "I feel SO BAD! This sucks..."

"Sucks like a cheap ho..." I sighed

"EEEEEEEEEEEW!!!" she smacked my back

"Geez Jai!" Dani snickered

"Don't eavesdrop D..." I smirked

"Dude... that's just funny..." Caleb smiled and leaned to my ear, "and kinda hot..." He whispered I felt my face get hot and punched him in the side.

"Hey guys, did you all want to go to the movies with Mike and I? I have extra tickets." Jackson came up to us holding them up.

"What movie?" Dani asked

"Iron Man 3" He answered

"Aw hells yeah!" Mike whooped. Is he bipolar... or does he just play dumb?

"Uh sure cuz. We'll ride in Kay's car..." Caleb answered

"Uh okay, Jai you wanna ride with us?" Jackson smiled

"I'll go with them, I need to find my parents first... I'll buy the popcorn." I asked and walked toward my mom and dad making sure they'd stay away.

"Oh okay." Jackson looked a little sad so I smiled, "See you soon Jackson!" I turned back to my parents, "mom, dad Kay and us are going to go see Iron Man 3, that okay?" I asked

"Sure I guess... but is one of those young men the target?" Dad glared

"Uh, the shorted one with black hair... but there's been a misunderstanding... I'll explain when we get home..."

"Okay hon, you better." Mom smiled and handed me her card, "get snacks and such" then she whispered, "lemme know if Robert Downey Jr takes off his shirt." She smiled at my disgusted face.

"Ew..." I shook my head and went back to the group, "Let's plan this out... Quickly." I sighed as we went towards Kay's car. I got in the back with Caleb, as Dani cried "shotgun" and pushed me out of the way.

"Got ya." Caleb smirked as he caught me.

"Swooooon, my hero!" I sighed sarcastically

"Let's figure this out guys... how do we break it to Jacks that he's in like/love with you?" Kay sighed
