I looked at the other side of the cliff and saw the man who kills Arthur I then said
"Who is he?"
"His name is Mordred."
"so where we heading?"
"Ismere." I turned around and we started heading away from the cliff. I sent my horse home. We soon got to the castle of Ismere. I then saw Mordred and I realized that he was a druid just by looking at him.
"Mordred!" I said in his head. He looked around and saw me. Me and the others split up to cover more ground. Mordred then dipped his head in a sign of respect he then looked around and started climbing up to me. He then said
"My queen." I smiled and said
"I need your help getting into Ismere."
he nodded and said
"I'll be right back." He then climbed back down and went to the front and grabbed a cart with a cloth over it I then realized what he was trying to do. He picked up the cloth and I went inside I felt myself be moved he stopped and told someone
"This needs to go into the tunnels." The person said okay and started pushing the cart I waited about five minutes before getting out. I used my Mind's eye to find where they were. Gwaine was I then ran to where they were.
"Hey."
"Good your here." Then all of a sudden there was a kinda wind sound. I then realized what it was I pulled the three over to the side and watched as a dragon ran past us.
"Where did Morgana get a dragon from?"
"Uh Arthur get Gwaine back to Percival. We'll lead the dragon the other way."
"Look I know you two have magic but that is plain stupid."
"Trust us," I then got up and we ran in the direction of the dragon knowing who it was. I then saw the dragon. Aithusa looked at me and came towards me and nudged my leg I leaned down and started petting her head.
"She likes you."
I looked at Merlin and heard Arthur yell
"Merlin Eve!" I then said to Aithusa to go. We then made our way to Arthur just to see him talking to Morgana. Mordred was behind her.
"Arthur!" Merlin yelled, Morgana looked at us then sent a dagger at Merlin but before it could hit him I jumped in front of the dagger. I felt it enter my side I fell onto the floor only to be swiped up into Merlin arms. He put his hand on the wound.
Merlin's P.O.V
I saw Eve jump in front of me and the dagger pierced her. She fell onto the ground. I swept her into my arms and put my hand on the wound trying to stop the bleeding. I looked at her face and saw her staring at me I then said
"Why did you do that?" I said tears running down my face
"I did it because I love you." I then saw her started closing her eyes
"NO EVE stay with me." She opened her eyes and I looked at Arthur who was being picked up by Mordred and he left the room watching me. I then looked down at Eve and saw that her eyes were closed I then put my head to her chest and heard her heart beat. Morgana then left after some time I then saw the creature I saw with Gwaine. She then said
"Emrys put her in front of me I can heal her." I did as she asked me and she whispered a spell I saw the wound close up. Eve didn't open her eyes and the creature said
"So much blood has been shed this day and all for something a few wise men would want."
"You mean the Diamair? Morgana never found it?"
"and she never will."
"Because it is you You are the Key to all knowledge? There are times, I feel the weight of my destiny crushing me, but... that is nothing to what you carry."
"It is a blessing and a curse, Merlin I have a warning for you."
"Yes?"
"Protect Evandre. Without her all of Albion will cease to be."
"What do you mean?"
"If she dies Arthur will never survive the encounter with Mordred. This is her destiny, your wife is the one who will bring back the dragons."
"How?"
"Her family knows where one more dragon egg is hidden. Protect her I can't say more now. Merlin is there something you wish to ask me?"
"No, I don't think it will be good."
"You are wise, Emrys. Your wisdom will live long in the minds of men."
"There is one question." I asked as she left "If Mordred isn't Arthur's bane then who is?"
"Himself." I then saw Eve stirring. The creature then said
"Never tell her what I told you today. You must find the last dragon egg yourself and Eve must be the one to hatch it." She then ran off. I picked up Eve and took her out of Ismere.
Author's note
I think I have some explaining to do. Aithusa healed Morgana but never bonded with her in my fan fiction. She bonds with Eve. The reason she was in the cave was because she wanted to meet Eve. Eve's family has had a Dragon egg for some time but Eve never knew about it. They wanted to keep it from her knowing that she would be the one to hatch it but if she found out before Uther was killed She would've been killed.
