Eve (a Merlin fanfic)

Chapter 46

It has been three years since the wedding happened. I was following Arthur and Merlin on a horse. They then stopped and I asked
"Arthur what is this about?"
"Well I never did give you two your wedding present."
"Letting us have it in your castle was good enough of a present as any. " He then started again and we then came to a clearing but instead of an open field that used to be there was a castle and surrounding the castle were small houses. I gasped and said
"What is this?"
"Took us three years to build. Do you like it?" I then looked around and as Druids came out of the houses.
"Arthur you didn't have to do this."
"Every King and Queen deserves a castle."
"Thank you." I said watching the Druids doing magic and trading with others.
"It's an hour ride from Camelot but if your walking it will take a day."
"Arthur I told you I didn't want to break off from Camelot."
"And you won't. This is still in my kingdom but you can decide your own punishment here for the Druids and people who wield magic."
"Oh." I looked around and smiled as I saw my people smiling.
I then said "thank you so much Arthur."
He smiled and started heading back to the Camelot while Merlin stayed and gave me a tour of the place.
A week has passed and we were in the council room. Arthur had sent out some of his, as did I. They never returned and we were trying to find out how we could rescue them. We were planning a rescue mission to Ismere. I was coming with them with some more of my druid knights. I then realized what they were arguing about. I then said

"May I make an suggestion? What if we take a different route? We approach Ismere from the west."

"Through Annis' land?"

"Yes isn't she an ally?"

"Yes she is but would she grant safe passage for so many armed men?"

"I believe she would Sire."

"Send a Rider Immediately. We'll follow at dawn. Eve are your men ready?"

"Yes they are."

"Good."

At dawn we finally left. A couple hours later we got to a gorge. It was the mark between Camelot and Annis' land. We then rode down to it and saw Elyan. Arthur and him spoke and he then left again. We waited a while and he returned
"There is something you need to see." We then rode and we ran across a village but it was abandoned. I got off my horse and started looking around I then heard

"Emrys, Evandre"

I looked around and saw that Merlin heard it too. I then looked around and saw a cave. I went inside and saw a dead man near a pool. I leaned down next to him and saw on his arm a Druid symbol but within it a yellow coil. He was a Druid seer. Merlin then came in and said

"Who is he?"

"He's a Druid seer." The man then grabbed my hand

"Who did this to you?" I asked

"That it happened at all is all that matters. I have been haunted by this moment for many years... since long before you set foot on this Earth, My queen and king." Then Merlin was then was sitting next to me." I have waited for its arrival with the sorrow in my heart. For even as Camelot flowers, so the seeds of her destruction are being sown. The prophets speak of Arthur's bane. You would do well to fear it, for it stalks him like a ghost in the night. Unless you act quickly, Evandre Emrys, even you cannot alter the never-ending circle of his... fate." He then died and his hand fell into the water. I then saw a vision. It was a battle and Arthur was killed by someone. We were brought out of the vision by Arthur saying

"Is he alive?" I then looked up

"What is it?" Not knowing we had a worried look on our faces. We both didn't say anything

"You have seen a dead body before. As soon as we given these people a proper burial, we're moving out." I then called some of my knights in. They then picked him up and Leon had an empty grave for us. They put the man in and said prayers. We then left. That night We arrived at Annis kingdom. We dined together but the next day we set out again. The next day we were about to leave a camp but we then were surrounded by Saxons

"We're surrounded."

"We cant' stay here." I then felt someone brush my arm. It was one of my knight He whispered in my ear

"Come on My queen." I then started backing up as I saw Morgana I then heard Arthur yell

"Run!" The knight behind me grabbed my arm and brought me back to my horse.

"Get on we have to get you out of here." I then shook my head and drew my sword. He sighed and put up his hand and whisper a sleeping spell before I had a chance to block it I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up again on the back of my horse I then said

"Where are we." I looked around and saw Leon.

"What happened?"

"We were attacked by Morgana's men."

"And you thought it was good idea to take me away from my husband?"

"Your men did." I then looked around and saw my men forming a circle around me. I was a prisoner by my own people. We rode to the kingdom but I was taken to my castle and brought into my room. During the night I got up and opened my door to see the guards I then said a spell and they both were knocked out cold. I then ran to the stables and mounted my horse and started riding him to where we were attacked I then used my minds eye and saw where they were. I then went there and saw them jumping over a cliff with Merlin jumping over it being chased by some Saxons I then whispered faster to the horse and I jumped over the cliff flying over the enemies to landing next to Arthur

"Eve!" I then made the cliff that Merlin was trying to knock down fall to the ground I then ran to him and kissed him. Happy that I returned to him.
