OH. MY. GOD.

THERE SHOULD BE A RULE THAT YOU MUST HAVE A DESCRIPTION WHEN YOU WRITE A STORY.

Okay, this is something that never really bothered me before, until today.

So, there was this book that I saw that sounded pretty good, and I went to read the description, and THERE WASN'T ONE.

I mean, I think that people do that sometimes to make you read it, but how would I read it if I don't know what it's about?

If I see a book in a book store and I see that there isn't a description or a summary or anything, I'll just set it down and walk away. It's basically the same on Wattpad.

Seriously.

And the other thing I hate hate hate, is when there's a description like this:

So there's this girl named Madison and she meets a boy named Greg and what will happen? READ TO FIND OUT!!

Not only does it explain virtually NOTHING, but when there are things like "Read to find out" or "What will happen?", it annoys me. To me, it just feels unprofessional. I don't know, it just irks me.

And then there are these lovely descriptions:

Okay this is about a girl and she meets this guy and it's not really a good story but read it anyways and maybe you'll like it!

You have to have some confidence in your story. And if you don't have any confidence in it, THEN DON'T WRITE IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT IT'S A BAD STORY.

When you search for a book, the first thing you look at is the description. When you get a crappy one that doesn't say what the story is about and tells you "This story is probaby really bad", then I'm not going to read it.

I feel like I'm alone on these opinions, but it makes me so mad sometimes. >.<
