After having a fight with her boyfriend, Katrina goes to the only place that holds any comfort to her; the beach. She loves the surf, the small waves, the fresh air but something out of the ordinary occurs that day. Katrina will never forget it.
There was a blinding flash of green light and Kat was gone. A mix of words are lost in her memory, floating around her head telling her she has two years to get a human to fall in love with her, and the curse breaks, if not, she turns into a vile monster like the merwitch and the other mermaids. Her tail is her skin, the scales ending at her hips and fading. The thing is humans' are afraid of mermaids.
Kat sees a man at Mermaid Cove one frosty night and in the light of the full moon, he sees her there, and tries to call out to her, but she gets frightened and swims off. Will Kat ever be able to get over the fear she feels or will she become the monster she was always meant to be? Will this man be the one to break her curse?
