Chapter 6

“Yes, it’s me.” She said, hesitant.

“Why are you calling me?” I asked, we hadn’t spoken in a very long time.

“I-I wanted to talk to you. I miss you. Both you and Shay.” She said, sounding sad.

I gulped, feeling guilty. “You hurt us both, Tyra. I don’t think we can ever be friends anymore.”

“I know Rose and I’m really sorry. I never meant to hurt either of you! I’m clean now, Rose. It wasn’t easy but I did it.” She said, trying to convince me.

I sighed. “I don’t know, Tyra. I cant talk right now I have a guest.”

“Alright talk to you another time?” She asked, almost pleading.

Did I want to talk to her? Should I? Shay would hate me if I did.

I sighed. “I don’t know, Tyra.”

I hung up before she could respond and took a red towel from my cabinet.

I walked towards the bathroom and knocked on the door. “Jay? I have the towel and some clothes. Can I go in?” I shouted.

I could hear the shower running.

“Yeah!” He shouted.

I hesitantly walked inside the small white bathroom and saw him poke his head out of the shower, covering the rest of himself with the shower curtains.

His head was covered with shampoo bubbles and there was a small trail of shampoo bubbles running down his muscular, tan chest. . “Thanks.”

I nodded, almost gapping. I was sure my whole face was now red with embarrassment.

“Would you like to join me?” Jay asked, winking.

I shook my head, smirking. “Don’t flatter yourself, Jay.”

He laughed and went back to the shower, closing the curtain.

The curtain was the see-through ones that blurred the view a bit but I could still see the shape of his body.

I grabbed the knob, ready to leave but I couldn’t seem to leave. I couldn’t exactly see him naked but the shape of his body was enough to have me drooling.

“So are you going to stay there drooling or are you going to leave?” I heard Jay ask, amused.

I blushed again and left without a word.

He must think I’m such a perv!

I jumped when Riley appeared out of nowhere.

“Who’s there?” She asked, a bit cranky. She was always cranky when she wakes up.

I tensed. I didn’t want Riley to come close to anyone related to gangs. Especially Jay since he is now part of “The Sons Of Saints”.

I shook my head.  “Just a friend, hun. I want you to stay in your room until he leaves, okay?”

She glared, annoyed. “Fine. But I’m not happy!”

“Shh! Not so loud! Now go.” I said, shooing her away.

She sighed, walking away. She reminded me of an old lady when she was cranky.

A few minutes later, Jay came out of the shower wearing some of my dad’s old clothes. Surprisingly, they fit him. Although my dad didn’t look  half as good as Jay did. Dad filled out the shirt with his beer belly while Jay filled up his shirt with his muscles.
