I woke up and checked my phone. I had three messages from Nick.

'morning xx'

'i wish we could hangout 2day but i have work :('

'i'll make it up to u i promise ;)'

I smiled at the texts. He really did love me. I wished I could say the same. I changed into this and went downstairs, humming a random tune.

"Well someone's in a good mood today," Liam said, raising an eyebrow, "What's up?"

"Nothing," I said cheerfully, "Just happy is all."

"Okay, well try not to freak everyone out much, yeah?" he asked.

I smiled and rolled my eyes, "Whatever you say, Liam."

"Now there's something I never expected to hear the Mandi Lee Payne say," Zayn said, joining the conversation.

"Well, I'm just such a good person that I've decided to be nice today," I said.

"Uh huh," Zayn said, unconvinced, "We'll see how long that lasts."

I ignored him, "You're lucky I'm in a good mood today, Malik."

"I'm sorry," Louis joined in, "Did I just hear Mandi say 'I'm in a good mood'?"

"Apparently," Liam answered.

"It's because Nick asked her to be his girlfriend," Harry said, making kissy faces at me.

"Shut up," I said, nudging him jokingly.

"Aw, young love," Louis said, mimicking Harry.

"What are you talking about Louis?" I said, "You're only 3 years older than me."

"Fine," Louis said, "Young-ER love then."

"What's all this about 'love'?" Niall asked.

"Nick asked Mandi to be his girlfriend," Harry explained, causing Liam to make a face.

"Stop saying that," Liam said, "We're still talking about my little sister here."

"Yeah, your 18 year old sister," Louis pointed out.

"Thank you," I said, "I keep trying to tell him that."

"Well, I'm sorry if I don't like my best mates talking about your love life," Liam said, "Your my baby sister, I don't want to lose you."

"Liam," I laughed, "I have a boyfriend, I'm not dead."

Liam laughed too, "Okay, we're going to an interview in a few minutes so please stay out of trouble. Let's get ready lads."

All the boys dispersed to various places and I was left in the kitchen to eat my breakfast. A few minutes later, everyone had left. Well, everyone except Zayn.

"You do understand the idea of me being in a good mood is to retain it, right?" I asked.

"Oops," Zayn responded sarcastically, "I must have missed the memo."

I frowned, "Do you always have to be like this?"

"Like what?" he asked.

"Like you personally want to ruin my life." I said.

"Is that how you think I act, then?" he asked, clearly irritated by my answer.

"Well, how do you think you act?" I asked.

"Just because you don't think I do anything nice doesn't mean you're right, you know," Zayn said.

"It doesn't make me wrong either," I pointed out, "And it's not like you've given me a lot to go with here."
