"Well, that was... Amazing," I said. I was curled up in Zayn's arms underneath the cover.

"It was perfect," he replied, kissing my nose, "You have no idea how long I've been waiting."

Suddenly, I heard the front door slam shut.

"Shit!" I scream whispered, "Get out before they see us!"

Zayn jumped up and practically ran out of my room. I pulled my clothes on quickly and jumped onto my bed right before I heard my door open.

"Mandi?" it was Liam.

I faked a yawn and rolled over. Pretending to be surprised, I said, "Oh my god, Liam! I'm so sorry! I must have fallen asleep, I totally forgot!"

"It's fine," he sighed, "We all had to walk home, though, and that was not easy. Where's Zayn?"

"Um, in his room I guess," I said, "By the time we got back, we totally forgot about you guys."

"It's okay, Mandi," Liam said, I could tell he didn't quite believe my story, but I hoped the benefit of doubt would be enough for him, "Try not to do it again though. It took us forever to get through the fans and the paps."

"I'll try, I promise," I said.

Liam took one last look at me and I thought he was going to say something, but he decided better of it and left.

I breathed a sigh of relief, "That was close," I said to myself.

I picked up my phone and turned it on.

"16 new texts and 5 missed calls?" I said. They were all from Nick.

I went over them and they all said the same thing. We need to talk.

I held the bridge of my nose. Well, I couldn't avoid it forever.

I dialed Nicks number and held the phone to my ear.

"Hello? Mandi, is that you?" he said.

"Uh, yeah, it's me." I replied nervously.

"Can you come over? We need to talk," it was probably the 50th time Nick had said that today, and I replied with the only thing I really could say.

"Fine, I'll be there in a few," I hung up before he could answer.

Without thinking too much, I changed into this and walked out the door. I knew if I let myself think about what I was doing, I'd end up talking myself out of it and I was not about to turn back. Nick deserved this, I had to.

The moment I arrived, Nick opened the door.

"Please tell me you weren't waiting there for me," I said.

Nick didn't respond and just led me to his sofa.

"Why?" he asked.

"Why what?" I responded.

"What the hell do you think?!" he raised his voice slightly.

I glanced down at my palms, "It just... isn't working between us," I said calmly, "You're possessive and controlling, Nick. I don't want that in a boyfriend."

"It's him, isn't it?" he said more of a statement, "It's that Zayn guy."

"Zayn has nothing to do with this," I said.

"Oh really?" Nick said, "You think I don't see how you look at him? How he looks at you? It's EVERYTHING to do with him!"

"I have to go," I said, getting up.

Nick grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him. Before I could pull away, he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me roughly.

I pushed him away, "What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled, "THIS is exactly why we're over! I'm done with you!" and before I could hear anything else, I stormed out, slamming the door behind me.

Back at the apartment, I had successfully gotten inside and to my room without anyone noticing me. I was a little surprised that no one had realized I was gone, but it was about time I had a lucky break.

I quickly changed and got ready for bed. It had been a long, dramatic day and, frankly, I was exhausted.
