Jeremy and his best friend Zachery Montone were stopping at a local coffee shop before they headed into work. Jeremy and Zachery have been best friends since their freshman year of college. They both come from very wealthy families. They have a lot in common; good looks, smarts, class, and money so they get along well.

The girl behind the counter already had their coffees ready for them when they walked in. They get the same thing every morning at the same time and of course this girl was always trying to impress them.

"Good morning Mr. Gage and Mr. Montone here are your coffees, no cream and two scoops of sugar." she said with a big smile.  She was a lot younger than them, still in high school most likely.  Jeremy thought she was a cute little thing but she was jail bait and he knew she would bring nothing but trouble.

"Thanks love." Zachery said politely and Jeremy just gave her a wink. He was not as personable as Zackery was despite how much they had in common.

They sat down at one of the tables in the front like they usually did. "So you're coming out tonight right?" Zachery asked Jeremy. "Yeah, of course" Jeremy said sounding enthusiastic. Zachery smiled and then zoned in on his phone and Jeremy opened up the paper and started reading.

Jeremy was so concentrated on his paper that he didn't even notice the girl that walked up to their table "Hey Zach!" A girl squealed. "Liz? Hey!" Jeremy said in a surprised tone and got up to give the girl a hug.

Jeremy looked up now to see who it was while taking a sip of his coffee. He literally choked when he saw who was standing in front of him; the woman from the parking lot.

Jeremy and Liz both looked to him when he choked. "Sorry, my coffee is still a little hot." Jeremy lied and gave a weak smile. Zachery raised an eyebrow at him but then looked back to Liz.

"How have you been love? I haven't seen you since that party that um..well yeah! Hey!" Zackery said. Jeremy was pretending to still read the paper but he was concentrating on them.

Jeremy was wondering how Zachery knew this woman but he didn't. They had all the same friends from what Jeremy knew. He was actually kind of jealous that Zachery knew her and he didn't. This made him pissed him off now that he was jealous because he was never jealous of ANYONE.

Jeremy cleared his throat and interrupted their little conversation. They looked to him. "I'm going to head in." Jeremy said and got up and slid his jacket on. "Ok man I'll catch up." Zachery said.

Liz smiled at Jeremy like she had in the parking lot over a week ago. He nodded and smiled back but again it was not his famous wide smile.  He was able to get a better look at her this time.

She had her dirty blonde hair up in a pony tail and no make up on. She was wearing some black running shorts  and a white tank top. She had black low top converse on her feet this time. Jeremy thought she looked really good actually which surprised him considering she was just dressed to go work out from what it looked like.

Jeremy got out of the coffee shop and headed to work which was only a block down from the coffee shop. He was frustrated again like he was the first time he saw Liz except he was more frustrated this time because Zachery knew her and he didn't.

He was going to ask Zachery about her when he saw him later.

Jeremy walked through the doors of the main lobby and he was immediately greeted by the secretary. "Good Morning Mr. Gage, Mr. Foltz left 3 messages for you asking if you will be attending the lunch meeting today." She said sweetly with an innocent smile.

Jeremy huffed. "Yes, tell him I will be there at 1 o'clock and I will not sit around and wait if he is late." He snapped at her. The secretary nodded and quickly got back to her desk.
