Destiny POV

"You got some money to get some clothes?" Major asked me while we were on the phone.

"Yeah, I'll ask Rome to take me to the mall after I get off the phone with you." I told him.

"What's with the attitude?" he asked me.

"You guys just left the state without even telling me." I smacked my lips.

"Well, if it makes you feel better, Kellcey just cussed the fuck outta me for just telling her." he chuckled.

"Speaking of Kellcey, have you been helping her with the twins?" I asked.

"Yeah, I been over there almost everyday till we left for this trip."

"Okay, just checking. I'll talk to you later. Be careful, I love you." I said before hanging up.

"Go take a shower and get dressed, then I'll take you out." Rome handed me a towel and a wash rag.

I nodded my head before going into his bathroom.

After I took a shower I couldn't find my glasses.

"Shit." I cursed when I stepped on them. I must've knocked them over without realizing it. Luckily my foot didn't get cut.

"Rome!" I cracked the door.

"Yeah?" he answered back.

"I don't have any clothes to wear." I told him.

I didn't hear a reply from him.

"Rome." I called out again.

"Here, they probably gonna be a lil big." He handed me some clothes.

"Don't worry, the boxers ain't never been used before." he assured me just as I was about to speak.

"Thanks." I gave him a small smile.

"Ain't no big deal." he shrugged before leaving.

I put on everything he gave me. It was kinda of big but oh well, what could I do?

I looked for my purse, since I knew there were contacts in it. I put them in and my vision became clear.

"You ready?" Rome came from the back.

"Yeah." I nodded. He looked at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You look different without yo glasses." he kept looking at me.

"Okay." I looked around.

"Let's go." He nodded his head towards the door.

******

"How does this look?" I asked when I stepped out.

"Fine, I guess. Ion know girly shit." Rome looked back down at his phone.

"Okay." I stepped back into the dressing room.

It looked decent I guess.

"Let me just check out and we can go." I told him. He nodded his head.

"I got it." Rome stopped me from giving the lady the cash.

"You didn't have to do that." I told him as we walked.

"I know but my mother taught me, when she was alive, to never let a lady pay for anything if you got the money." he kept looking at his phone.

"I'm sorry to hear she passed." I told him sincerely.

"It's cool. You hungry?" he changed the subject.

"Yeah, I could eat." I smiled.

"Here, I'll be sittin' at a table." Rome handed me a 20 dollar bill.
