"DAN?" I pushed him away a bit, and looked at him, just to be sure I was actually hugging my boyfriend. I wasn't expecting that at all.

"Yeah it's me" he cupped my face and kissed me. We were in front of my school, I knew people were watching... but I didn't care. I didn't care because I had been waiting to kiss Dan since I had entered that plane; I needed to kiss him... I missed him so bad.

"I can't believe you're here" I hugged him again and smiled against his shoulder. I hadn't felt that happy for a long time.

"I wanted to surprise you"

"Well, it worked... but how did you get here? Where are your things?" I pushed him away and looked around, my mum was waiting in the car right next to us, but I hadn't seen her.

"Your mum picked me up at the airport... I just arrived, like 30 minutes ago"

"Boys, get in the car, I'm late for work" my mum said. I held his hand through the way to the car. I knew people were looking, and whispering... but honestly, I wanted them to explode. Dan was there and nothing else mattered. We both got in the backseat of the car, and he wrapped his arms around me. I cuddled into Dan and entwined our fingers, I just wanted to make sure he was there and that he wasn't leaving.

"Did you like the surprise, dear?" my mum asked.

"Best surprise ever" I turned around and pecked Dan's lips. "Oh my God, Dan, happy birthday! I almost forgot, I was just so emotional when I realized you were here"

"Thanks, love... Yeah I know. It's the best birthday, because I'm here, and you're here, and I'm spending the day with you. Your mum is the best... I called her and said I was planning to come, so she supported and said she'd go pick me up"

"Aw thanks for that mum"

"Don't worry, dear. And I was thinking, maybe you'd want to go to London during your vacation?"

"YES, YES!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, PLEASE"

"Of course you can go" she smiled

"Thank you so much mum" I kissed the top of her head as she was driving.

"We'll talk about that later. Where do you want to go? Home? Or should I drop you somewhere else?"

"What do you want, babe?" I asked Dan. "You must be tired"

"Whatever you want" he answered.

"We should go home... leave your things there and stuff, and then we can see somewhere to go"

"Alright" he smiled.

"Wow. This is where you live?" Dan asked as we got to my neighborhood.

"Yeah..." I said quietly. I wasn't really proud of living there. I'd rather live in a normal neighborhood.

"so, here you go. Phil, show Dan everything, make him feel at home. I'll be back around 9pm" My mum said as she pulled over. We said bye and got Dan's suit case. He looked up at the building where I lived, and... he was kind of shocked.
