Wotcher! Sorry I didn’t upload earlier. Here’s a quick recap: Mikael and Gabriel were in a tent after winning a battle against demons, Gabriel was furious knowing Mikael had got married, then a soldier came bringing some tidings for them.

Right. I think it’s necessary to warn readers that this part has a sexual content, so..you know the drill. =p

Part 10

[Mikael POV]

“Zeva.” Said the soldier outside my tent.

Gabriel growled, dissatisfied. “That’s it??” she shouted at the soldier outside; apparently she heard the one word in the midst of her own cursing and swearing. “That’s all you got?! One meaningless word!!”

“Our deepest apology, My Lady..” squeaked the soldier, “But we assume it is the name of the new leader of the demon army.”

I frowned. What the heck. ‘What is, or rather, who is this Zeva?’ I asked myself, ‘human or demon?’ Ridiculous; I never knew demons had names. I just knew they had heads I could cut off. So, if this Zeva was supposed to be the new leader of demon army, I would just have to find and kill him. Perhaps then the human race would finally be victorious.

“Where are you going?” snapped Gabriel when she saw me walking out of the tent. I ignored her. She followed me outside. The soldier quickly moved aside, giving us way.

Once I stood outside the tent, I whistled to call my Red Hare. It wasn’t long before he came galloping towards me. I smiled at the sight of the beautiful beast; he was huge with a reddish brown skin and charcoal black eyes. He resembled me in many ways; fierce and untamed. Red Hare came into a halt right in front of me and I caressed his mane lovingly.

“You haven’t even had rest yet!” protested Gabriel, realizing that I was seriously leaving.

“I can rest when I’m dead.” I retorted. Then I took the harness, swinging my body smoothly to mount Red Hare. I pressed my heel to the side of his body.

“Mikael!” she stomped on the ground angrily, “I haven’t finished with you!!” she yelled at the top of her lungs, but I had already ridden Red Hare away.

[Lunalea POV]

The maid from Lord Mikael’s palace helped me pack my belongings, grudgingly. Maybe she was irritated to be awaken in the dead of the night, or maybe, most likely, she was irritated because I was to move to Lord Mikael palace. Maybe she was guessing who I was and didn’t like the possibility; maybe she thought I was his concubine or something.

I asked the maid whether or not Lord Mikael had come back from the battlefield and if it’s he himself who sent her to fetch me. The maid glared at me but said nothing. So I decided it’s best for me to keep my mouth shut.

It didn’t take long to pack my things; I only had a few clothes, some potion bottles, some books and a hairbrush. All of them were stuffed into a single canvas bag and the maid ‘kindly’ carried it for me.

As we were heading to Lord Mikael Palace, I kept wondering why this was so sudden. I wondered if Lord Raphael knew about this; I didn’t get the chance to talk to him and I felt bad. Though I must admit that I was also thrilled in anticipation if I was about to meet Lord Mikael. If he had indeed come back from the battlefield, I hoped he didn’t get injured. I shuddered when I remembered my dream wherein Lord Mikael lay bleeding. I very much hoped it wasn’t a bad omen.

The maid accompanied me until we reached the corridor leading to Lord Mikael’s chamber, then she handed me my bag before she gave me one last glare and left. I sighed and began strolling down the red-carpeted floor. To my left and right were stone walls in which tapestries, paintings of all great generals who once resided this palace—some had died on the battlefield, some had died of illness— and light orbs were hung.
