I added the finishing touches to my make up and went outside. I'd recently been shopping with Alice and so I decided to dress some of the stuff up and wear it out to the meal tonight. As it was nearly Christmas I'm running out of things to wear out to dinner or to parties. I chose to wear a baggy thin black jumper with soft leather patches on the shoulders, some black jeans and a pair of black Chelsea boots. This added about three inches to my height and I appreciated that as both Dan and Phil are really tall. I decided to leave my hair down but I curled the ends of it. I did basic eyeliner and some silvery peach eyeshadow and I added a deep pink to my lips. We left the house and headed for TGI Fridays. Dan had booked the secret table in the car driving home from the competition. I was so excited.
"So we're going to have to build you a shelf for all those trophies" Dan said. I stuck my head through the centre part of the car as I always did. We had our places for everything now. In the car Dan and Phil swapped drivers but I'd always remain sat in the middle seat so I could poke my head out in between them and feel ill part of the conversation. On the sofa, Dan would always sit on the longer bit of the sofa. He'd sit there so much that there's a dent in the cushions where his arms go when he's consumed the browsing position. Phil would always sit right next to him or he'd stretch his legs out with his head on the other side of the sofa but his feet across Dan's lap. I'd be forced to sit on the bright orange beanbag they found in Phil's old house. I swear there's a rat living inside the filling of that beanbag. At the dining table phil would sit at the head and Dan would sit next to him with his back to the wall and I would sit next to Dan so we can comfortably watch tv whilst eating.
"Haha maybe" I laughed replying to Tom's message on the group chat we have on Facebook. We were all talking about the competition and congratulating each other.
"So is there a competition next weekend?" Phil asked.
"I don't know, have to see on Monday" I said "or tomorrow, I think there's a master lass on tomorrow I could help with"
"Err we're busy tomorrow I think" Dan said looking at Phil and this confused me. Busy? Plans? We never had plans.
"Busy?" I repeated.
"Yeah I think we're having Zoe and Alfie over for dinner or something" Dan stuttered. We turned into the car park and the subject was dropped.

We were shown to the secret table and it was cooler than ever. When we told them we'd booked it we were taken right through the restaurant and up some spiral staircase which was a lot of fun in my new boots. There was a small table set for three in the corner of a large room. There was metal fencing around the room and if you looked over you've be right above the main restaurant. The walls were full of photos at old Hollywood stars and vintage posters. We took our seats and as I looked up I noticed the roof was decorated with glow in the dark stars and moons. We ordered out food and joked around.
"Dan you have 7 seconds to touch every wall in the room" Phil said as he held the phone up to record his challenge.
"But there's two walls missing!" He yelled! He touched the two walls that the floor we were on connected too and then continued to run down the spiral stairs. We the saw him running through the restaurant, arms flailing and he ran to the other corner of the room. Me and Phill collapsed with laughter. He nearly knocked over a waitress on his journey back but he returned to us without causing any major damage.

After dessert we had a few more drinks.
"Sophie, we are incredibly proud and lucky to have you" Dan said out of nowhere.
"What?" I said putting my mocktail down.
"We didn't think we'd ever be able to adopt anybody until we met you. You brought something to our lives that was missing" Dan continued.
"You've given me everything" I said "happiness, a home and you've given me a family"
"You've given us a family" Phil said.
"So we want to give you something that we can have, as a family" Dan said. He held out a little blue box. I took it from his and opened it. Inside was a beautiful silver heart locket on a silver chain.
"Oh my god" I said as I took it out. I opened it up and inside was a picture of me and Dan on the day I got my Black belt and on the other side a picture of me and Phil when we were on the London eye. I felt something on the back of it and turned it over. There was a message carved into the silver.
THE CAT WHISKERS COME FROM WITHIN- DADDY DAN AND DADDY PHIL
"The cat whiskers come from within is a reference from Phil is not on fire" Dan said, I knew this already but I wanted him to continue "cat whiskers are what makes a cat look like a cat so by having whiskers the cat is separated from other small, agile, furry animals..."
"Basically, what comes from within makes you different from everyone else" Phil said cutting Dan off. I'd never thought of it like that before. My eyes whelled up with tears. I gave both of them a massive huge and Phil out the necklace on for me. Everything in the world for that moment was perfect. No worries. No sadness. Nothing. It was perfect.

So I cried writing this... Did you? Ignore my interpretation of 'the cat whiskers come from within' quote. I wanted something sentimental that linked with their videos. Got tons of plans for this book so please please please keep reading! If you even read this far then thanks and hi I guess!
