Chapter Seventeen

"I'm gonna go for a walk to help clear my mind." I said popping my head into the dining room. They nodded and I quickly walked out the door putting my headphones. I decided to listen to I miss you by blink 182. I started walking to the park when all of a sudden I bumped into someone and fell to the ground.

"Oh my god! I am so so so so sorry! This is all my fault please forgive me? I know I should really start watching where I am walking." This girl started rambling.

"It's fine and I should of paid more attention to where I was walking sorry." I said standing up and she looked at me surprised.

"It's all my fault. I'm sorry." She said and looked down.

"Hey no it's not and it's fine. My name's Taylor. What's yours?"

"Emily.." She muttered but I still caught it.

"That's a beautiful name." I said and she smiled.

"Emily! " A woman yelled from the house we where standing in front of.

"I got to go. Bye Taylor." Emily said and walked away but then I quickly grabbed her arm.

"Hey Emily wait a second." I said and she stopped and turned around.

"Here call or text me whenever," I said passing her my number. She nodded and walked into the house and I started walking to one of the most familiar place I know.

I turned down the dark alleyway and opened the door to a place I knew all too well.

I knocked twice and waited. I just pulled my phone out when the door opened and I was pulled into a big hug.

I hugged her back and she let go. "I missed you so much." Kendra said and let me inside.

"Who's there?" I heard Kendra's mother say and then saw here show up by the door.

"Oh hello Taylor. Sorry I got to get going have fun." Kendra's mother said and with that she walked out.

"You look stressed." Kendra said once her mother left.

"That would be because I am I don't know who to choose."

"What do you mean?" Kendra asked sitting down and I sat down next to her and explained everything.

"Ah if I was you in your situation I would definitely choose Calum." She said and I nodded.

"I was thinking the same thing but I don't wanna make anyone feel bad and what if he does what Ashton did?" I asked and started crying and Kendra just hugged me.

"Sshhh, it will be okay. If that happens you got Mikey, Luke, Liz or you can leave at 16 and come here." She said and I wiped my eyes.

"You're right." I said and she smiled.

"Aren't I always?" She said sarcastically and we both just bust out laughing. "I've missed you Tay." She said and I smiled a sad smile.

"I miss you too key." I said and she laughed at my old nickname for her.

"You should visit more often TayTay I can't hangout with Ty all the time." She said and I laughed.

"I'll try. I better go. I'll talk to you later." I said and stood up and she followed me to the door.

"You know where to find me." She joked and I left.

I got back home and Mikey, Luke and Calum were all sitting on the couch on their phones.

"Hey guys." I said and walked over and sat by Luke.

"Hey Taylor. Did you make your decision?" Calum asked and they just looked at me.

"Yeah and I choose Calum to be my dad and Luke and Mikey can be my older brothers." I said and they smiled and laughed and Luke pretended to be upset. I hugged him and he just laughed.

"Okay so I'll just fill out the paper and we are set. You can now be Taylor Hood." Calum said and I smiled.
