3rd Person POV:
Two days ago, Lucas and Maya were arguing with their friends watching. Meaning Maya was calling Lucas the normal names that he always ignored. Except this time...he snapped and called her a short stack of pancakes. Ryan could see how upset it made Maya so she hit Lucas in the arm and said, "Don't call her that!"
"Dude! Not cool." Brandon exclaimed at the same time also seeing the look on Maya's face.
Riley however, stayed silent. She thought what Lucas said about Maya was true. Maya was now mad at Riley for not defending her.
Today at school, Lucas and Farkle were sitting on the wall and Brandon and Ryan were standing near them. Riley and Maya walked down the hallway still fighting, which caught their attention.
"You stood up for Lucas and not me!" Maya exclaims to Riley.
"I'm not standing up for him."
"You didn't disagree with him or defend me like Ryan did."
"Well, when you really think about it, he wasn't wrong."
"Who cares?" Maya asks
Ryan sighed because this was still going on.
"Oh, right and wrong don't matter now?" Riley asks
"The only thing that matters is you and me. When have I ever not stood up for you?"
"When I'm wrong!"
"You're always wrong!" Maya says and Riley gasps dramatically. "Or you're always right. Who cares? I don't listen, I just stick up for you automatically." Maya tells her
"Ooh, chick fight!" Zay says walking up to them, "Chick fight right here, ladies and gentlemen. One dollar to see the shocker by the lockers. Brought to you by Zay Babineaux enterprises." Ryan walks up to him and lightly slaps the back of his head and he stops and sits up on the wall next to Lucas. She then moves to the side and Brandon joins her.
"I'm not gonna be the cause of this." Lucas says standing and walking closer to the two fighting girls. Farkle joined him and Zay stayed where he was sitting.
"Too late, huckleberry." Maya says
Zay chuckles repeating, "Huckleberry."
"You know why it happened, Maya? All you do is call me names. I finally struck back once." Lucas says
"This has nothing to do with you, who I will deal with later." She says looking at him. Zay and Farkle were standing next to him and saw the look with her threat.
The three of them leaned their heads back and went, "Yee."
"This happened because she stuck up for you." Maya said about Riley
"I didn't stick up for him." Riley said to Maya
"You didn't disagree with him." Maya replied
"How could she disagree with him, he's right?" Farkle asks Maya
"You're next!" Maya says to him threatening
"I want to be first." He says excitedly
Riley and Maya take a step away from him going, "Yee."
"He is right, you know." Zay agrees.
Brandon groans. "It doesn't matter if you agree with what Lucas called her or not." He starts
"If your best friend is called a name. It doesn't matter what the name is or if you think it is true. They were called a name and you defend them period. You show that you have their back. That they aren't alone." Ryan finishes
