Ryan's POV:
I am sitting in the classroom with Brandon when Riley and Maya walk in after the bell rings. Brandon's seat is now behind me.
"So... you don't want anything to change?" Maya asked when they walked in the room.
They both sat down and Riley replied, "No, I don't like change. Change fills my pockets with pennies of uncertainty."
"All right. So... Should we actually finally learn about what happened in Belgium in 1831?" Cory asks
"No!" Farkle exclaims
"No?" Cory asks him confused
"I always get my hopes up and then something happens to hurt my little Farkle heart."
"Yeah you keep hurting his little Farkle heart." I say to Cory.
"Well, this time I refuse to believe." Farkle says
"In 1831..." Cory starts
"Yes? Wait!" Farkle says before turning to Riley, "Anything going to suddenly happen to you?"
"No changes lovin' life." Riley responds
"Anything gonna happen to you?" Farkle asks Lucas
"Nothing ever happens to me." Lucas tells him.
"Ryan? Brandon?"
"Nope." I say
"Nah." Brandon replies
"Maya?" Farkle asks. He turns to Maya and sees her snoring. "Oh my gosh, this is it."
"In 1831... Belgium..." Cory starts again before the door opens and a boy walks in
"What? Y'all started without me?" he asks
"Get out!" Farkle says with a demonized voice, while he stands up.
"Somebody in this room is going to be very surprised to see me." The boy said
"Is it me?" Riley asks
"Don't know, sugar, but could you be any cuter?" he asks her
"Well, I can't answer that." Riley said
"You got a transcript, kid?" Cory asks
"I do. Check out them grades. Here, let me sing 'em to you. De, de, de, de, de... de... f." The boy says while handing Cory the transfer slip.
"Yeah, I know that song." Maya says smiling.
"Isaiah Babineaux. From Austin, Texas." Cory tells the class and the class looks at Lucas.
"What are you doing here, Zay?" Lucas asks
"Well, the first thing I'm doing is waitin' for a better reaction from you." Zay said
"Wait is he that Zay that..." I ask Lucas trailing off.
"Yeah." he says with a nod.
"Maya, something's changing." Riley says
"Okay, Mr. teach, where do I sit? You know, usually I'm more of a back row kind of guy." Zay says before looking at the back row and seeing Brenda waving at him with a big smile. "Whoa. That's unusual."
"Have a seat right there, Mr. Babineaux." Cory says pointing to the seat behind Lucas and next to Ryan.
"Lucas, do you know this Isaiah?" Riley asks him
"Yeah, tell' em you know me good." Zay says
"How 'bout we talk later, okay?" Lucas says to him
"Well, Mr. Babineaux, if you work out as well as last year's new student, we're happy to have you." Cory said
