M word quiz

A/N: this is set around that record breaking negative temp game and snowstorms in KC 

"I'm bored. Your wifi keeps blowing from how fucking cold it is. I've done everything possible while we're snowed in at negative temps" Taylor complains sat in front of the cracking fire wrapped in a blanket, meanwhile travis  appears to be unaffected by the temps 

" I've got some games and cards? " he gets up to go fetch them from  entertainment unit  " It was a joke purchase. But I've got some new couples trivia cards,  and I know for a fact there's a few spicy questions. " he adds with a wink  " i know we know we know pretty much everything but it might be fun. What do ya say?  " He had intended it for couples game night, but wanted to play with just her first 

"I'm in." Reminds me of the fun question games  we played when first getting to know more about each other  "

He opens the box and curses

" what?" Taylor raises an inquisitive eyebrow  

" oh these aren't the trivia cards. one of our friends was playing a joke. It's uh...a list of things couples should discuss before marriage" he nervously averted his gaze. 

" what?! " 

" I'm sure the actual cards are in another box" he goes to search  through the boxes of other board games 

" hey, it's fine." She places a hand on his shoulder haunting his search in the monopoly box "I'm kinda curious about what that list is"

"Okay ..truthfully I'm curious too" he smiles.  "It's like a worksheet we fill out. " he explained 

They sit down each with the worksheet in hand and take turns answering the questions 

He looks over at Taylor and she's nervously playing with her hands and staring at the piece of paper. She looks deep in thought 

" you okay sweetie? " 

" this is harder than I expect. Well not all, some things I can easily answer. but some I'm stumped because they are asking about things 7 years in the future " Taylor stated anxiously

" yeah, I don't plan at all I mostly just wing everything on impulse , so I feel that. Just fill out what you can. Or what you'd want"

" I can't. I don't do spontaneous or hypocritical. I plan everything 4 years in advance career wise but I don't know. Too much into the future scares me because it's unknown ...I can't do this! It's too hard" she stands up frustrated

" Taylor, it's okay, nothing is set in stone it's just hypothetical. " he pulls her back down to sit next to him, giving her a reassuring squeeze

" I don't wanna get a question wrong " she frets taking it really seriously, and nervously tapping her pen

"It's not a test in school baby. There is no wrong answer" Travis often had moments when he noticed just how much if of a type A person she was. She really struggled with all or nothing thinking

" Tay you don't have to do it, I know thinking about the future gives you anxiety" he didn't expect this to trigger so much anxiety in her but she goes overboard.

" but I want to know the answers" she explains cutely " I'm just kinda caught off guard. I was expecting some tacky couples trivia card games questions , I didn't think we'd be looking at a worksheet that looks like something a couples therapist might hand out" 

"How about I just give you mine, and if you want to tell me your answers you do? Or we could just do what we know and are comfortable answering ." 

"Okay "
