💋 Chapter Twenty Seven: finale

The camp had over a thousand tents put up, a lot of them being medically used for injured patients. Y/n however was brought into a private little set up tent, unsure of the reasoning though. She had her own tent with Tiffany and her mother.
But two soldiers that called themselves Maria and Bert, just instructed her to follow them here.

So here she was, sitting on the small cot set up on the side. Perhaps they wanted to privately investigate her, or maybe do testing on her because Tiffany did mention about Y/n being a test subject as a child.
However, she wasn't going to get any answers if she just stayed in here. Y/n decided to get up and head outside the tent, considering she's been waiting in there for hours.
Though, before she could walk any closer to the opening of the tent. She bump into someone, slowly looking up to see a familiar face.

"Y/n?" Leon was confused to why she was in here, but he did recall Suho telling Maria and Bert that he wasn't planning on seeing Y/n at all. So they must of planned this.
"H-hi? I mean...um..I didn't ...uh.. I'm sorry, I'll leave." Y/n wasn't sure why she felt all flustered by Leon, he didn't want do anything to make her heart start racing. She was going to walk past him, but he grabbed her wrist.

"Wait, didn't you want to talk to me?" He asked, but all Y/n wanted to do right now, was to get as far away from him as possible. "I- yes?" Why was she being strange, he didn't understand. Was she perhaps still not well?
Leon pulled her closer to rest his hand on her forehead, which caused her cheeks to flush. "Hmm, you're not running a fever...so why are you acting to strange?" He stared into her eyes, then slowly noticed how close they were and also her face was turning red.

He quickly let go of her hand, "Sorry.." He wasn't sure why he apologized, maybe he felt bad if she actually did have feelings for him. "It's fine...um..Leon?" Y/n wasn't sure what she wanted to say anymore, or what she had planned to talk to him about. "I wanted to thank you for saving me, and also saving Ireland."

"You don't have to thank me, Y/n. This is just my job." Y/n nodded as she stood there awkwardly, she now remembered what she wanted to talk to him about. Y/n wanted to join him, in handling these situations. Of course she would need a lot of training, but she really wants to be useful to save others from these kind of situations. "Actually Leon...I really wanted to talk to you about maybe joining you in this line of work you do. It's just, I want to be able to help others and also find ways to prevent stuff like this from ever happening again." Leon kept his eyes glued to hers, though he was saddened that she wanted to choose this field.

"Y/n, I don't think you should. This isn't some sort of easy job. And you can't ever prevent these disasters from occurring, just only can hope it doesn't affect the whole world." Y/n frowned, but she wasn't going to take his lecture about why she shouldn't join the field.
"I don't expect it to be easy, I know it will be hard and dangerous. But, this is something I thought long and hard about Leon."

There really was no changing her mind at all, he could see how determined she was. Leon sighed as he sat down on the cot. "Y/n, to be truthful. I don't personally want you apart of this lifestyle." Y/n stood infront of him, staring down. "Why are you so determined for me to not do this line of work?"

"Because I don't want to go through the thought of you almost dying!" He never was the type to express his feelings, but this situation was just becoming stressful. Leon look up at her, wondering why she didn't respond. Y/n didn't believe Tiffany at first, but maybe it was true. Did Leon perhaps care for her that much? Despite not knowing each other for long.
"Leon...do you...like-" Leon cut her off as he stood up to press his lips against hers. He mainly just didn't want to hear what she was about to ask. He found it sort of silly to ask someone if they liked them.

Y/n was shocked, and didn't expect this to happen at all. Her heart was also racing as she didn't know how to react or what to do. But, she decided to kiss him back. Which he also got the hint that their feelings were mutual. Leon pulled away, staring into at her as she had her eyes glued to his chest. Too shy to even look him in the eyes right now. He couldn't help but to laugh, he found it cute. "Y/n, I hope that answers all your questions of why I'm so against you becoming a government agent, that has to handle biological threats." He explained.

Y/n did understand, but it didn't change her mind. "I still want to choose this path." Leon sighed as he pulled her closer to him, making the gap between them disappear. "Then I'll make sure I'm your partner for every mission you get assigned to." Y/n couldn't help but smile at that. "But I eventually need you to trust that I can handle myself."

"Only if you can win in a match against me in the future, then I'll decide if you're worthy to be trusted on your own." Maybe she was right, Y/n deserved a chance to be trusted. After all, she did manage to survive and not get killed.
Leon brought his lips to her forehead, which this made her smile even more. "Let's take this slow, alright? I don't want this to be rushed, I wanna enjoy making you flustered for awhile." Leon smirked as Y/n turned red, "I-I wasn't expecting this to move quickly!" He just laughed at her response.

Y/n nudge him, completely forgetting where he was hurt from the squid. He winced a little bit, but it wasn't that bad. "I'm sorry Leon, are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

It's finally completed!! Yay!!!
I might do some spin offs~ But not sure yet!!
I have... maybe two other Resident Evil stories I'm working on? One is Reed Island. Which is something I had planned before this one. That one, is going to be more intense with drama. And probably a longer story..
Though, I'm also working on my own original story as well! :3

The Hunted- I'm writing it as a novel and turning it into a webtoon soon. I've been very attached to it, it's a zombie apocalypse theme. :0 You know~ my favorite- Haha!

Anyways~ I really hope everyone enjoyed reading this short story! It was really fun writing this, I never expected anyone to read this. I mainly just write stories for fun, but I am glad a lot of you enjoy this! I hope you'll get to enjoy my new resident evil fanfic~ (Already published)
