    Competition and rivalry was always a big problem in the  Howard family since 2274, with the arrival of Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Howard-Carey nee Lowell.When she first arrived on Star Base 12 on the arm of Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley, two of Lord Patrick William Howard great-great-grandsons had their eye on her, and they were Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory, but in the end, Lord Andrew Charles Howard lost Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann to his second cousin, Lord Richard William Carey, but only after 24 years of marriage and having his five children and creating him Duke of Norfolk Territory in 2275.
    Once her three oldest children were safely married to their second cousins, did she divorce Lord Andrew Charles Howard in 2300, and remarry the one man she truly loved and was the father of her two beloved children, Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Benjamin Lawrence Carey.
