Things Are Different (Sequel to 'Forget Me')

Chapter 12

Raven woke up slowly, her head throbbing and hurting. Her vision was blurry and her senses were just way off. It was so hard to concentrate.

"...ever get out...stuck here...me forever." a voice said from out of nowhere. Raven's eyes widened and she tried to turned her head but she was strapped down by her neck. Something was covering her mouth and her arms, she was in a straightjacket. Her feet were chained and over the straightjacket was many straps keeping her in place. She tried to scream, but whatever was covering her mouth made good sure that no one could hear her.

"Doesn't...if you scream....one's coming to save you, Raven. Because only I love you." The same voice said.

She knew that voice. She just didn't understand. How did he get out? She had thrown that book out to sea four years ago. After he hurt her. After he broke her heart. After he hurt her friends.

Malchior...

"It is so precious to see you all chained up, just for me." Then he stepped into the light and she saw him. His electric blue eyes stared at her with so much... lust? His platinum white hair was hanging of his shoulders and flowing behind him like a wave. He was covered in shiny armour and on the chest plate was a black M. A black scarf was pulled down from his face and you could see the grin he had plastered on his face.

Raven struggled with her restraints to go and attack. Why did he want her? What was he planning? Why her? She wanted answers so badly.

"I can see you wish to talk. Very well, only for a little while." He said and walked up to her. He stared into her eyes as he pulled the covering from her mouth.

As soon as it was off, she barked at him, "What do you want from me?"

"I want to gain your love. After four years in that book, I realized that I truly do love you and that I want to be with you. You're the one that makes me want to stop being so evil. But I also know you and the green goblin are together so I had to take desperate measures to ensure that you will be mine." Malchior said in a gentle, flowing voice.

"So what? Keeping me chained and in a straightjacket is your way of making me fall for you?" Raven asked sarcastically.

"My sweet Raven, my powers go beyond just about anything. I can fool your mind and make you love me. And that's the plan to be exact."

Raven's eyes widened but then her face contorted into a scowl, "You won't dare."

Malchior stepped closer to her, "Sweet Raven. I always get what I want." He kissed her roughly and aggressively, then placed the covering over her mouth so she wouldn't yell or spit.

She felt tears streaming down her cheeks and she continued struggling against the restraints.

Please, Gar, hurry...

Beast Boy's head snapped up, he must've fallen asleep for a moment. Raven had called out for him, he knew it. He saw the others still working. "We need to hurry. Raven, she just called out to me. Something bad is going to happen soon to her. Do we have anything?"

"Nothing at all. No reports about this guy or anything."

"He had very familiar eyes. He had tricked friend Raven. Used her feelings at his advantage. He hurt her." Starfire said trying to remember anything.

Suddenly Beast Boy had an idea, "Was he in paper form?"

"No, he had very mesmerizing eyes. And he was in shiny amour as well."

"Did he have three lines going down from his eyes?"

"Yes... Yes! He did!"

"I know who it is. It's that guy. Malchior. The one who betrayed Raven. Except, somehow he's in human form now." Beast Boy started excitedly, but then he became confused.

"Hmm, but why would Malchior want Raven?" Robin questioned.

"To use her again. I don't know, I just know it's Malchior." Beast Boy said.

"There's no way to locate her. She had left her communicator on the couch and other than that, I can't find her. And no one in the city had seen anything suspicious." Cyborg said.

"What did she say exactly, Beast Boy?" Robin asked. "Any important information about how we may find her?"

"All she said was 'please Gar hurry'. Nothing else."

"Can you reach out to her and ask her to give you some information about her location?"

"I'll try." Beast Boy cleared his mind and thought of Raven. Her scent, her eyes, her body, everything. Just her. Raven? Raven, please answer me.

After a few seconds of silence he thought she couldn't but then she spoke, Gar? Gar! Please hurry. He's going to do something to me.

What?

He's going to use his powers and make me fall in love with him. Gar, please, I don't want to.

Okay, Raven, calm down. We're trying to locate you. What do you see?

Nothing. I'm just in an unfamiliar place and this entire place is empty except for a bed and me.

He placed you on a bed?

No, I'm chained up. In a straightjacket and he covered my mouth with something. Gar, please hurry. He's coming back. Gar, please. I don't want to do this. Gar!

Beast Boy felt such an enormous amount of pain erupt from his head. He clutched it and doubled over. When the pain stopped, he tried to find Raven again, but she wasn't responding.

"What happened?" Cyborg asked.

"We were talking and then he came. He did something to her. She had no idea where she is."

"Did she tell you what his plan was?"

"Yeah, he's going to make her fall in love with him. Which is why we need to find her. I'm going to go sniff around." Beast Boy said and left.

"Beastie, we'll find her." Robin assured him.

"I just hope we find her before it's too late."
