Ella took her seat in the front row with Sam and the rest of her family as the announcer stepped onto the mat, causing everyone to cheer. Ella couldn't help but smile as she did so, excitement for all the matches arose within her. She had always loved watching these tournaments, it was always a lot of fun to place bets with Anthony or Sam on which dojo was going to win that year. Anthony still hadn't given Ella her $20 from the year before after the dojo she bet on had won.

"Welcome, everyone, to the 50th annual All Valley Under 18 Karate Championship!" Everyone cheered again, Ella practically jumping in her seat out of excitement. "You'll love the new mats."

"All right, let's start by welcoming all the local dojos competing today," the announcer began, "From Granada Hills, All-Star Karate." Many people clapped again before the announcer continued to list the dojo names.

All the Cobra Kai students suddenly jogged into the auditorium, all of them chanting 'Cobra Kai' over and over again. Ella looked at her sister. "Are they some kind of cult?"

Once the Cobras took their place on the mat both Ella and Sam avoided Miguel's gaze as he spared them a look before he averted his eyes and stood in a neutral position. Waiting for further instructions as the announcer laughed and talked about how much he loved their entrance for a second before he went back to reading the names.

"And finally, fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have Mr. Robby Keene." A surprise look faltered Ella's face as she exchanged confused looks with both Sam and her dad. Robby ran into the auditorium and stood in an empty spot on the mat, all alone. Ella smiled at him, giving him a wave and she could see a small smile form on his face as he nodded in acknowledgement in her direction. She immediately began to root for him, hoping he would win this.

"I didn't know he was fighting," Ella said to Danile when she had finished clapping for her friend.

"Neither did I," Daniel replied.

"All right, folks," the announcer continued, "Get ready. It's karate time."

Everyone cheered and the tournament began.

The first match Ella and her family paid attention to was one between Cobra Kai and another dojo that Ella couldn't remember the name of. Miguel was the one that was representing Cobra Kai. Ella watched intently as the two contestants owed and got into their fighting positions. Except for Miguel, he got into the crane kick position instead.

Ella recognized that move as the one her dad had used to win his first All Valley competition. The blonde looked at her dad, who looked incredibly exasperated and done with everything Cobra Kai has done so far. Miguel kicked his opponent in the face, earning a point for Cobra Kai. Ella sighed as she ran her hands through her hair, listening to the crowd cheering.

Next up was Robby against another kid from a different dojo, the two sparred for a few minutes but Robby managed to hit his opponent, earning a point for himself and Ella cheered, clapping as she smiled.

The match continued on for hours, different dojos either winning or losing each and every single one of them. Ella got up and went to buy something to drink, as she walked to the snack station she happened to run into Moon. She couldn't help but smile when she saw her, waving when they walked past each other, Moon did the same thing.

Ella walked over to the snack area and bought herself some ice-cold water, once she had paid she went back and sat with her family again. Robby and Miguel were two of the people who had managed to make it to the semifinals and Ella could not be more ecstatic for Robby. She clapped excitedly for him, cheering while Robby sent a quick glare towards Johnny Lawrence, Cobra Kai's sensei.
