I was surprised when Mr. Jackson had stopped to say hello to me and Hayden. He's never done that before. For first time in a very long time, I didn't panic when a man talked to me. I felt flustered and nervous, but the good kind. Seeing his smile made my day a little bit brighter, but then things took a turn for be worse. After Mr. Jackson left, Bri and her posse showed up. Again, she was wearing a crop top and a micro mini skirt. The thought of her bending over in that skirt made me shudder with horror.

"So...Valentina,"

She was popping her gum and it was irritating me to no end.

"Why was Hunter talking to people like you" she said and scrunched her face as if she was disgusted.

I was never good at confrontations or insults, so I was speechless. She smiled smugly, but then Hayden came to my rescue. He's been doing that alot since we met.

"Maybe because he doesn't want to look at a slutty whore with a vagina bigger than a black fu*king hole!"

I giggled while looking at Hayden. He was such a drama queen. The look on Bri's face was hilarious. Her mouth was wide open like she couldnt believe he said that to her.

"Shut your hole Bri. There's no di*ks around to fall into you mouth. In case you forgot, I'm gay and even if I wasn't I wouldnt go near that mouth with bleach or soap."

My giggles turned into full blown laughter. Her face had turned so red, it was kind of like a tomato. She was so embarressed. She opened her mouth to say something else, but Hayden beat her to it.

"And dont call him Hunter. He's Mr. Jackson to you and everybody else in this damned pack."

Hayden pulled me down the hall before she could come up with a response. Of course he would want to have the last word. He pulled me by my arm and I struggled a bit to keep up wih him, his legs were way longer than mine. Fianlly he slowed down when we got closer to class.

"I can't believe the nerve of that bitch. Insulting us and then thinking she could call the Alpha by his name? If I did that back home I'd be banished!"

I stared at him for a while.

"Why would they banish you? Can they even banish you from Minnesota?" I asked.

He froze and mumbled a few cuss words to himself.

"Forget everything I just said Val. Trust me, it'll only give me trouble and you a headache."

I decided to let it go when I saw the look on his face. He looked tired, so I let it go. Just as we rounded the corner to first period, two men came out from the end of the hall. I was about to have a panic attack just looking at them. They looked mean and they were big. Hayden was as big as they were but there were 2 of them and one of him. Hayden noticed them just as I did and froze. He seemed to be thinking before he turned around and ran, pulling me after him.

Oh my goddess. What the fuck were rogues doing in school?! I looked towards the door to the Alphas classroom and back at them. We wouldn't make it, not without one of us getting hurt. It was my job to protect the Luna and I would lay my life down for her. I grabbed her hand and pulled her with me down the hall. We needed to get out of here, I tried to mindlink the alpha, but he wasn't answering. I tried Ethan next but he didnt answer either. Something was blocking me. Valentina was struggling to keep up so I picked her up and carried her bridal style. I sped up and looked for any classroom with a teacher but I couldnt find one. All I needed was 1 person to back me up but all the fu*king classrooms were empty. Valentina screamed and I stopped for a moment to look back. I think my heart stopped beating for a second. They shifted and their wolves were in full control. I needed to shift right now, I needed an advantage. I ran out the door holding Valentina and around the courtyard. They were so close, I needed more time. But I didnt have any. I felt myself being tackled to the ground and I tried to shield Valentina from the blow. As soon as I touched the ground I pushed her away from me and shifted. She gasped and I knew Hunter would have my ass for exposing us. But I couldnt focus on that as the wolf tacked me. He was a good fighter for a rogue, but I was better. I bit his ankle and dragged him to the ground before biting his neck. Then I heard her scream. The other rogue was stalking towards her, about to go in for the kill. I gave a loud howl, hoping to distract him and it worked. He looked my way but that was enough for Val to start running. Once he realized she was running, he pounced. He chased after her and I chased after him. It was like a twisted game of cat and mouse. I almost screamed when she ran into the forest. Apparently I had to teach her what to do when a gigantic fu*king wolf was chasing you. I managed to jump on his back before he reached her and it gave her more time to run. She was surprisingly fast for a human. This rogue was a better fighter than the last one and he was able to take a bite out of my flank. He grabbed my neck between his jaws and threw me to a tree. Black spots invaded my vision and I was slowly going under. My last thought was
