Reeve's POV

"Ayan tuloy.

For the past five days, heavy rain has been pouring down nonstop. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel our plans to visit the neighbouring island due to the typhoon. The sea has become perilous, and the entire area has become drenched. The cornfield is overflowing with water, and the land has become muddy in every direction.

At least nasa tuktok kami at hindi mabaha rito. Pero mahirap ang akyat pababa at pabalik. Masyadong maputik.

As the heavy rain poured down, Tiya Esperanza made her way to her small sari-sari store at the mountain's base. Unfortunately, Manong Paeng could not make the journey due to inclement weather. A lot of dried fish needs to be dried, or else they will get mouldy.

I don't want Melissa to do this because it's a man's job.

She silently said while wiping my face.

"Nandito naman ako, Mel. I will never leave you," I said with a smile.

"Kaya nga. . . nasasanay ako, Reeve. Baka mabagok ang ulo mo sa daan at makalimutan mo ako. Baka tatakbo ka."

I shook my head at what she had just said.

"That's plain stupid, and why would I do that? I'm your fiancee remember?

At marami sila! Mga paasa!"

I slightly laughed and hold her hand.

I don't just make promises, I make a solemn agreement with the heavens above."

How many times have I been intimate with her since our first night together? I've lost count. I adore her and sharing that physical connection with her is the most wonderful experience I could ask for. I don't believe I could ever give it up. She's like a drug, so captivating and addictive.

"With every beat of my heart, Mel, I will love you and will never leave you. That is not just a promise but a solem agreement and I want the heavens to witness this," I said with an open heart.

"Ano!? Huwag mo nga'ang sabihin iyan! Pumasok ka na nga!" Tulak niya sa katawan ko.

I let out a small chuckle, but as I glanced at her, I could tell she was quite irritated. It seemed like my comment didn't sit well with her.

"It's not funny to say that, Reeve. The lightning will strike you!"

"I'm sorry, love."

"Are you still angry?" I sweetly asked and kissed the back of her ear.
