[Behind the Clouds" plays as the screen shows the other residents, except Ramone, Pippa, and Sally, at Flo's V8 Cafe.]
Fillmore: You know, some automotive yoga could really lower your RPM's, man.
Sarge: Oh, take a car wash, hippie.
Flo: Yeah, look at my husband, y'all. WHOO! That's your color!
[Ramone shows up while Flo is talking, having yellow paint and a bit of purple and his orange and yellow flame on his sides.]
Ramone: Yellow, baby. [chuckles]
Flo: Mm! You smoking hot!
Sheriff: [noticing McQueen and Maddie come towards them] There they are!
Lightning McQueen: Oh My Gosh! Did you know Doc and Olivia are famous race-cars?!
Folks: [All of the residents stay silent for a few seconds, then all of them except Sheriff laugh.]
Sheriff: Doc and Olivia? Our Doc and Olivia?
Sarge: Not Doc and Olivia Hudson.
[The screen shows inside Doc and Olivia Hudson's garage as they then grumpily watches the conversation outside.]
Maddie McWilliams: No no no no no, it's true! Their real racing legends. He's The Fabulous Hudson Hornet and she's The Amazing Goddess!
Flo: Fabulous and Amazing? I never seen Doc and Olivia drive more than 20 miles an hour. I mean, have you two ever seen them race?
Lightning McQueen: No, but we wish we could have of... They say they were amazing, they won three Piston Cups!
Tow Mater: [spits out on his drink] They did what in their cups?!
Sheriff: I think the heat's starting to get to the boy and girl!
Lizzie: Well, I'll say! Look how red he is and how yellow she is! [McQueen and Maddie frown]
Ramone: Yeah, I think they need a new coat of poly, man.
Tow Mater: Are ya sick, buddies?
Sheriff: You two are looking a little peaked.
Ramone: Yeah, they need a new coat of poly for sure!
[Then the screen shows Sally and Pippa pressing a foot pedal attached to one of the fuel dispensers, causing the pump to go into McQueen's and Maddie's fuel door and pump fuel into them. The gas bell rings as the screen shows the fuel dispenser with the gallons of fuel and total sale.]
Sheriff: Hey-Hey! What are you two doing?!
Sally Carrera: It's okay, Sheriff. You can trust me, right?
Sheriff: I trust you two, all right. It's them I'm worried about.
Pippa: Mm... we trust them. [to McQueen and Maddie] Come on, let's take a drive.
Maddie McWilliams: A drive?
Sally Carrera: Yeah, a drive. Don't you big city race cars ever just take a drive?
Lightning McQueen: Uh, No. No, we don't.
[The gas pump then stops and vibrates once. Sally and Pippa then drives onto the road towards the courthouse, and McQueen and Maddie moves themselves to make the gas pump move back into its place. As McQueen and Maddie drive onto the road, they turn towards the other side of the road and smiles as the screen shows the distance. Then Sheriff, thinking that McQueen and Maddie are planning to escape, turns on his emergency lighting.]
Pippa: Hey, Stickers and Angel! Are you two comin' or what?
Flo: [Sally and Pippa drive other way out of town toward the courthouse. McQueen and Maddie then turns around and follows them.] Mm-hm! [to Sheriff] And you thought they were gonna run. [Sheriff turns off his emergency lighting.]
Ramone: Hey, can you believe it, man? They actually thought Doc and Olivia were famous race-cars! [Laughing] That's so too much! [We then see Doc and Olivia inside their garage looking outside the window, now feeling sad.]
