Chapter twenty

  "Good morning August, can you send me all the songs you've got?" James said on the call

  "Oh yeah, but just let me get up please." I told him "It's still kinda early"

  "Yeah yeah sure, just do it by the end of the day." James told me "Also, you need to do a photoshoot for this era. So your fans can get the hint and stuff"

  "Do you have anything scheduled yet? I mean for the photoshoot?" I asked him and grabbed a notebook in case he started naming dates

  "I have booked only one photoshoot but I feel like that's not enough. You also have to do the album cover shoot, so think of what cover you would want to have" James told me

  "Jup okay, will be done. Bye!" I said

  "Bye bye" he answered and ended the call.

  I looked at my phone and saw that it was still nine am. I decided to go back to sleep because I felt really tired, but I just couldn't.

  I decided to go downstairs and start on breakfast. I took out everything I would need for a banana bread. I mixed all the ingredients in a bowl. Then I smeared the form with some butter. I poured the mixture in and put some walnuts on top. Since it needed to bake for an hour, I had a lot of time to clean up everything.

  I gave afterglow and daylight some food and cuddled with them. I let them move on with their day and started washing the used dishes. João had a dishwasher but I liked to do it by myself. I heard João coming down the stairs and soonly enough he came in the kitchen.

  "Goodmorning my love" he said as he hugged me from back

  "Goodmorning João" I turned around and faced him. I hugged him back and he kissed me

  "I've missed you" he smiled

  "We weren't even apart for an hour" I rolled my eyes jokingly

  "Don't care" he laughed

  "So ignorant are we?" I heard a ding "oh banana breads ready!"

  I went to the oven and took some oven mittens. I opened the oven and took the bread out. It smelled so delicious, I couldn't wait till I could taste it.

  "Ooh can I cut it pleaseeee" João begged me

  "Sure, but not now. It has to chill down a bit" I stated and turned off the oven

  "I needed to ask you something." João told me

  "Go on" I smiled but was kinda scared of what he would ask me

  "My parents are in town tomorrow. They asked me if I want to come over for dinner. Do you want to come?" he asked

  "But don't they only want to see you? I don't really want to interrupt any of yo-" I got interrupted

  "Shh, you aren't bothering anyone. My mother would be proud to see that I've got a girlfriend now. She will be excited to meet you" João said

  "Okay then, yes I will come to your family dinner" I answered
 
  "Yes! Okay can I cut the bread now please?" he begged me again

  "Of course babe" I answered him and went to grab two plates. He started cutting the bread and i was taking the glasses out too. I filled the glasses up with milk and set them on the table. João brought the plates and the bread with him.

  We both sat down at the table and started eating. I could tell that he loved my cooking.
