A/N: Aspen's dad isn't a wizard btw. In the intro it said he was a wizard, but that's changed.

"Oh, shit."

The adults quickly left, still in intense conversation. What this information meant, oh the kids had no clue. So, they had to sit amongst themselves, sipping on coffee and distracting themselves. It wasn't easy. Every few moments they would go quiet, trying to listen to the Order members upstairs.

After a few hours, Mary, Sage, Peter, and Remus were out fast. Aspen, James, Marlene, Lily and Sirius were up and talking about anything. It was quite a nice distraction, Aspen thought to herself. She's known them for months now, but at the same time, she felt as though she barely knew any of her friends. Every conversation they had, there was a new story; every story had new people; every person was connected to something else.

Then, they all shut up when they heard footsteps down the stairs. The door opened and voices grew distant. They tried to act normal when Euphemia and Fleamont opened the door to the lounge with grave and distant faces.

"Have they fallen asleep?" Euphemia asked quietly as Fleamont yawned and dragged his hand down his face. They still looked utterly dashing in their formal clothes.

"Yeah, for about an hour." Lily said and smiled softly. Fleamont messed up James' hair as he passed then went into the closet for some blankets.

Euphemia waved her hand and some Fire Whiskey appeared. Another wave and glasses came floating her way. "Would you like to say it Fleamont or should I?" She sighed, pouring a large amount of alcohol into her glass.

He laid blankets on Sage and Mary then stood. He wiped his pants and fixed his hair then his glasses. "Dumbledore has been made aware of your discovery, Aspen." He said and looked at her. "We couldn't risk telling the Minister in fear that he has been bribed or is already compromised. What we know as of now: Hogwarts will be under attack sometime during the first week of March. Whether or not you will be there, that's what we have been arguing about.

"In summary," he sighed and blinked slowly, the drowsiness catching up to him, "We need all of you to keep your eyes and ears open. If you hear anything--and I mean anything that sounds somewhat important or that references the month of March--you talk to us immediately. Not Dumbledore or Minerva: us. I am not saying that either of them are untrustworthy, but if it is that important, Euphemia and I will determine that, then they will be notified."

"So we just have to sit and wait and see if we hear anything?" Sirius asked with a scoff.

Euphemia set her glass on the table. "Sirius, my second son, please do not fight this. I love you with every aching bone in my body, but... just sit and wait and see if you hear anything. If there is action that must, must be taken, then, sure, fine." She took a sip of water then exhaled heavily. "I'm sorry, Sirius, I'm very tired right now."

"We get it, Ephy," Lily nodded whilst playing with the hem of the blanket she and over her lap, "And we understand what we have to do."

"Good. Now, go to sleep. You poor kids need some rest before the term resumes."

Aspen got no rest. She was terrified and anxious. Of course her first term at her dream school had to involve something apocalyptic. There could be a number of things to happen; no one got any solid information, so what they had to go on was only assumptions and educated guesses. Most likely, they were going to sit like ducks until the historic castle fell apart.

When the sun rose is when she threw the blankets off of her. She was restless as she always was. So she walked into the bathroom, turned on the lights and looked at herself in the mirror. She still had make-up from the previous night on, and her hair fell down in light waves. She looked good, she had to admit. Aspen was gorgeous with or without the make-up, which is something she always knew and appreciated.
