Chapter 17

Megan was the first to wake up and decided to get ready early just in case Trevor woke up and took the bathroom. She hated waking up early but she couldn't sleep all night and kept tossing around in her bed. Megan hated having a big bed for her sleep alone in. Today was the day they had to leave for Munich, Germany, the next stop on their trip. The train left at 12 pm so they had to be going by 11:00 according to Daniel's suggestions. Apparently Paris train stations are usually very punctual and don't wait out for anyone. Megan went inside the bathroom and started to blow dry her hair from the shower she took earlier that morning.

"I wonder if Trevor is awake, its already 10:00?" Megan said to herself looking at the mirror. Megan walked to the couch where Trevor laid crawled up in a little ball. He looked more precious, alone, serene, calming. This was the perfect time to wake him up from his sleep, Megan thought.

"Trevor, oh Trevor," Megan said leaning down and poking Trevor's nose. Trevor didn't budge. "C'mon Trevor, we're gonna be late. You should really get going or I'll run away with Daniel," Megan said teasing.

"Ugh alright I'm up. What time is it anyway?" Trevor asked sitting up and rubbing his tired eyes. "I feel like I barely got any sleep," Trevor said yawning and stretching out his long arms.

"That sucks, someone must be dreaming of you," Megan said opening up the curtains so Trevor could get a good sight of the morning sunlight.

"Ah that's so bright. Gosh Megan. Why would you think that?" Trevor asked squinting as he looked straight out the window.

"Cause I've heard that sometimes when you can't sleep it's because someone else is dreaming of you," Megan said looking out the window and taking in the view for the last time.

"What if I'm dreaming of them?" Trevor asked smiling.

"Then you both don't get sleep," Megan said turning around and looking at Trevor with his messy hair that he had just woken up with.

"Did you have a good sleep Megan?" Trevor said smirking.

"Yes as a matter of fact, I did. Now hurry up and get ready," stated Megan walking past Trevor and into the bathroom to finish her makeup. Her eye bags were absolutely dreadful from the lack of sleep she had last night and the night before that.

"Your 3 cups of coffee say otherwise loser," Trevor said as he got up from the couch to put on some casual clothes.

Trevor finished getting ready quickly and him and Megan were out the door 30 minutes later. Daniel offered to drive them to the train station so they didn't need to take another taxi for the 100th time. He had the painting with him and he planned to give it to them just before they left for Germany to retrieve the next painting.

"Thanks again Daniel for driving us," Megan said handing her suitcase to him to put in the

"Yeah mate. I really didn't want to pay another taxi driver to get around places. Man I miss my car," Trevor said getting into the mini red car.

"No problem. I hope you guys have a safe trip to Germany," Daniel said starting to drive the

The train station. A place that both Megan and Trevor had already gotten used to after going through far more train rides than usual. This time it was to Munich, Germany. Both had never been there before and it was going to be a learning experience for the both of them. The next letter directed them to go find a park that had the painting on a park bench. Megan was really confused

the first time she had read that from the letter but she knew that her aunt's plans usually make sense eventually.

___

The train had stopped to a halt and Megan had awoken with a heavy shoulder seeing the top of Trevor's head. She lifted his head up and put the pillow she had her back on his head. The crowd of people were just getting up and Megan began to collect her things.

"Are we here?" Trevor said fluttering his eyes  multiple times and giving out a yawn.

"Yeah hurry up we have to go the park as soon as possible before the day ends. My aunt has a friend here that we could stay with," Megan said already standing up from her seat with her belongings in her hands.

"Alright, I'm coming," Trevor said with tired eyes.

Megan exited out of the bus and was in awe on how breathtaking the city of Munich was. Even though her aunt had described it in her last letter she would have never seen this if it wasn't for the quest for the painting. Trevor came buy and purchased a map, "So we're in MarienPlatz. A city square that includes the toy museum, town halls, vast cathedrals, making it one of the must see destinations to go when visiting the great city of Munich," Trevor said reading straight off the complimentary brochure the tourist guide had given him.

"That's great, I know exactly where the park is cause I looked it up on my phone during the train ride. This way," Megan said holding on the straps of her backpack and following the sides that led up to the park.

"So do you know where we're going next?" Megan asked Trevor looking back at him.

"Madrid, Spain," Trevor said thinking for a minute.

"So you really did memorize the letter now did you?" Megan asked.

"Of course I did. Did you ever doubt me?" Trevor asked.

"Just making sure," Megan replied.

The two of them had stopped walking and were right in the heart of the park standing, looking around at the happy families, ecstatic couples, and loners like them either walking or feeding the birds.

"So how are we going to find this special bench your aunt had wanted you to find?" Trevor asked looking around in their vicinity.

"She wrote that it will be found near two trees that had been conjoined together and it was also near the pond," Megan replied.

"That's vague," Trevor commented.

"It's right there you idiot," Megan said taking the brochure from Trevor's hands and gently swatting his head with it.

"Megan hold up!" Trevor exclaimed while jogging to the trees Megan had ran up to immediately. "What would I do without her," Trevor said to himself.

"So that's it," Megan said pointing to the bench that was shaded by the conjoined trees. "Help me get it."
