Chapter 2

*back to present day*

At exactly twelve o'clock, a tall lean guy stepped out of train that came to an abrupt stop right in front of Megan's feet. His height made Megan look extremely small and she had just realized that most British people in the station had been towering over her. Megan was actually scared to find out who she was actually going to meet. She had no clue how the guy that sent her the email to come here to find the letter didn't even look like. The guy she saw was actually a pleasant surprise than her expectations. The letter did seem kind of shady and a decent looking gentleman would be better to be walking around London with then a hobo from the streets. He had a prominent bone structure to his face and light brown hair. He wore a navy trench that was faded from waist down. Under that he wore a plain white shirt and black skinny jeans with black glasses on his face. He carried a chestnut vintage looking leather bag strapped over his chest and rested in his shoulders. His cheeks were a light pink and the rest of his face was pale due to the London weather. His warm brown eyes shone in the yellow tinted train station lights. He was a proper English looking guy that Megan would have expected.

Trevor surveyed the vicinity until he finally focused his eyes on Megan and then walked his way over to her.

"Megan?" Trevor asked her as he looked her straight into her eyes.

His British accent was more prominent than what she expected, more polite and proper.

"Hi, I'm Megan." Megan answered looking down at her boots and putting her hands in her pocket feeling more nervous than she wanted to be.

After they had moved to another corner to escape the large amount of people they just stared at each other for a moment. Trevor put his hands in his pockets as he started to grab something from his bag.

"Are you trying to find my letters?" Megan asked hesitantly glancing at Trevor's leather bag.

"Um no, not really, if you want though we could go to a nearby coffee shop that I know of then I could negotiate with you." Trevor added

"What is there to negotiate about?" Megan questioned him.

"Things, I have to tell you my plans and other things about the letter. Trust me you'll want to hear them before leaving me alone in the tube station." Trevor responded said to Megan.

"What makes you think I should trust you?" Megan added glaring at Trevor.

"Well you trust me enough you bought a plane ticket to go here and find your Aunt's letter again so I'm guessing this is very important to you. And this isn't really about me if you think about it. You're doing this for your Aunt anyway right?" Trevor said proving his point.

Megan tightened her jaw. She knew he made a good point. She strengthened her grip on the envelope she had with the money and looked up at Trevor's face which was towering over her. It was a thin face, with bold impassive features. The statue behind them showed more emotion. He was a mystery she didn't want to solve. It was going to be a long walk.

"Okay. I'll go, as long as it won't take too long." Megan said giving in as she started walking towards the nearest exit from the tube.

"It's the other way, actually." Trevor corrected Megan before she could take another step.

"Right, I knew that. Um, why don't you just lead the way?" Megan said trying to regain her confidence from looking a completely lost.

They had walked together to the nearest coffee shop that Trevor was talking about earlier and they took a seat at a table by the window. On their way Megan was so fascinated by the different people walking in the streets of London. Things seemed exactly how they were when she visited the city last year and all she could think of was the fond memories she had all the whilst she was there. They had walked by the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge, and many more attractions throughout the city. During her stay in London last year for almost 3 weeks, she never got around to seeing all the places tourists would go to. But it never seemed to be the time to go all those places, she had always had some overarching task she had to do before she could do the things she wanted to do. As of that moment though she felt like a proper tourist and she kind of liked it that way, even though she was in a hurry to be some place. People in London were so reserved though as she had observed last time and the description from her uncle of the people he had worked with contributed to her theory on that. It was definitely a change of environment for her to be in. And she didn't know if she liked it or not yet. It was something she had yet to figure out on this trip. Someone to figure out to as it seems now.
