krist left the kitchen to make the couch more comfortable. dave helped kurt stand back up. "how's your stomach?" he suddenly asked out of the blue. he felt too worried about kurt's physical and mental health at this very moment.

"hurts." kurt replied as he left the kitchen. dave followed as a frown rested on his lips.

the couch was covered in comfortable blankets. looked even more comfortable than it was previously.

"let's smoke first." kurt croaked out as he grabbed the blue lighter that rested on the coffee table. "krist, got the pack?" he muttered out the question.

krist nodded and takes the pack of smokes out of his pocket.

all three males left the house and went onto the porch. the door being calmly shut as dave was last one out.

it wasn't sunny. just cloudy and a bit chilly.

krist passed each person a cigarette as kurt grabbed his. he placed it in between his lips and lights it before handing the lighter to the next person.

all three started to smoke and take puffs on their cancer sticks. feeling their tension on their shoulders slowly slump into a more relaxed state.

now that she is gone.

kurt kept one arm around his stomach as he takes a puff. coughing a bit as he did so. dave flickered some ashes on the floor as krist was finished with his.

flicking it to the floor as krist stomped onto it. causing the ignited drug to go out.

dave couldn't help but worry. he knew kurt was still in immense pain from his stomach issues. but also his mind and heart were hurting too.

he wanted– no, needed to help kurt feel better.

"i 'll be inside." krist says as he stands up. the tallest male ruffled the blondes hair as he went into the house.

dave felt a pinch of jealousy when he watched krist do that but didn't say anything.

kurt flicked some ashes off his cigarette as he takes another puff. trying his hardest to ignore the churning pain in his abdomen.

dave finished his cig as he repeated the action krist did previously. putting the cancerous stick drug out.

"you almost done?" dave asked softly as he eyed kurt with love. he couldn't help it. now that courtney is gone, least – he hoped – he wanted to express his love to kurt.

but he was afraid. yet, little steps of bravery was decided.

"almost. few more puffs." kurt replied. his cigarette was lowest of them all. he wanted to finish it until he couldn't puff on it any longer.

kurt takes a deep inhale of the cigarette before blowing the cloud of smoke into the cold crisp air. it was about sometime in the afternoon.

about 2:00 o'clock.

dave watched kurt with care and passion. kurt tossed the smallest cigarette butt onto the floor and used his barefoot too twist it out.

he hissed slightly and then chuckled.

"dude!" dave exclaimed which caused kurt too chuckle more. "it's fine, didn't hurt." he reassured as he grunted.

dave sighed and ran a hand through his own dark haired locks. "okay, just be careful." he replied. knowingly that he was showing a lot of care. but he couldn't help it.

he was so deep in love and cared for the blonde headed man.

kurt groaned as he raised his arms up and stretched. suddenly letting out a sharp gasp as his hands quickly clasped onto his stomach.

"fuck, ow." he cursed out as dave stood up. "here, give me your hand. let's get you back inside so you can have some rest."

kurt grunted in approval as he pried one of his hands away from his stomach and tangled his fingers in with dave's.

dave pulled kurt up. which caused the male to stumble a bit. he felt tired, sore, and drained at the moment.

"do you need me to carry you there?" dave muttered out the question as they look into each other's eyes.

brown and blue.

kurt hesitates before nodding. "yeah.. probably should." he says as dave nodded in agreement. he carefully picked up kurt. since the blonde was so light, it was an ease to hold him.

dave carried kurt up the little stairs that were on the porch that they were previously sitting on.

he walked slowly to the front wooden door and opened it. walking in with the blonde in his arms.

he used his foot to shut the door behind himself and the man he was carrying. accidentally making the door slam slightly. which caused krist to turn his head and look over. a magazine in his hands.

"his stomach acting up again?" krist asks as closed the magazine and kept it placed onto his lap. dave nodded and laid kurt onto the blanket covered couch.

it felt much more comfortable.

kurt groaned softly as dave covered him up with a dark gray colored fuzzy blanket. "never stopped." kurt whimpered out as dave sat on the couch next to the laying male.

krist frowned. "well i'll get you some ibuprofen. are you hungry?" he asked. dave raised his hand and started to feel kurt's temperature. it felt a little hotter than normal.

"kinda.." kurt replied as he closed his eyes. loving the coldness of dave's hand on his forehead. dave sighed. "you gotta eat something." he says worriedly as a frown remained on his lips.

"fine..get me crackers or something." kurt replied to dave as he fluttered his eyes open again. making eye contact with dave grohl.

dave nodded and stood up. "okay, sure. krist – go get the ibuprofen." he says to the bass player as the two left the living room to fetch the things they needed.

kurt couldn't help but smile a little.

thankful to have them here for him.
especially dave. something about dave, just made him feel safe and happy.

and kurt enjoyed that.
