Chapter 34

River

I stood there chalking my cue up as I listened to Jane talk with Tiffany, about our little problem that was taken care of. I knew Dean from school, he was older and in different classes, I was assigned to him on a survivor mission in the wilderness. So we bonded for a few days out in the middle of the woods. I didn't realize who the girl was at first it took me some time to remember her. I had hooked up with her once in the mall. It was the same day Jane had tried to seduce me, which made me smile it was cute and did work, it was just not going to happen. My smile fell as I heard a slightly deep woman's voice saying my name.

"Are you river" The women spoke as I turned around, she was hot looking, older and has been in the gym a little too much, she had a very manly physique for my liking, so I was sure I had never hooked up with her

"yeah, why" I asked suspiciously as she looked down at the clipboard in her hands

"I've been looking everywhere for you, your fight was supposed to start five min ago, you're late let's go" she said waving to follower her as I looked at her confused

"look lady you got the wrong person I never signed up for any fights" I said as Jane and Tiffany walked over closer the women

"Look your name is on the board, I just run the stupid thing and let people know when it's their turn, if you don't want to fight don't sign up, but since you're signed up you need to go down there in either fight or back out, okay" she said in an angry tone, as Jane was looking at the board intently

"River, David signed you up, he is trying to embarrass you, by making look like a sacred weak person for not fighting or he is trying to make you look bad by having his fighter beat you" Jane said as I smirked in amusement, that boy really want to die

"River don't do it" mark said from behind me and I ignored him, he knew it wasn't going to turn out very good for the other fighter

"Why not I haven't had a decent partner in the ring in a year" I said as the women rolled her eyes and turned as I followed on behind her

I was feeling an adrenaline rush flowing throw me especially once we got down to the ring area and the crowd was cheering. I hadn't been in the ring since I sent that boy to the hospital and later died. It was an actual accident, I was unaware that the kid was new and hand been trained in how to defend himself. There were 5 months before graduation and after the kid died, I was told I no longer needed to attend fighting classes because I was too dangerous for the other kids. I sucked because I actually liked fight class, but it had happened to other people before who got too good to be handled. But here there was nobody that was going to care if I actually injured anybody, I thought as I climbed up into the ropes and climb through.

"River!" I heard Jane's voice from behind me, as I slightly turned to see her holding onto the bottom rope looking scared, I smiled at her it made me feel good that she cared and was worried, but there was no need for it "please don't do this" she said as a crouched down closer to her

"There nothing to worry about Jane, I'll be fine climbed up here first" I said as she looked at me strange but tried to grab onto the middle rope, but she was too short. "Here" I said, grabbing her hands and pulled her up and rapped my arms around her to make sure she didn't fall. "Play the part, cheer for me, and give me a kiss for good luck okay" I said as she looked at me wide-eyed, then glanced down at my lips

I took the distraction the crush my lips to her, okay I was lying I didn't need the luck I was just a sick man who wanted her. Hey she started it by telling the world I was her boyfriend, so I think I deserve a little treat for having to pretend. I was sick and prayed for any opportunity to kiss her soft, plump lips that tasted like bubble gum all the time. I knew this was all I was ever going to get to have with her. Wanting to deepen it so bad show her how much I wanted her. But it always came back to the fact she wasn't mine to be kissed. I pulled away quickly as I lowered her back down Mark was there and helped her down, he gave me a small nod, I knew he would watch her during the fight.
