The warm wind kissed my cheeks
as I walked under the oak tree alley.
Spring was going to grow on me
making me want to start anew.
The sweet air was all around me
as I ran into the golden field.
Summer felt like a daydream
wanting to stay in its wonder.
Pumpkin patches on the porches
as I did my daily stroll with sunset.
Autumn came in with such grace
setting an example of letting go.
The snow was covering the land
as I built my very first snowman.
Winter seemed like a means to an end
saying goodnights to the living.

A/N: Well, I think most of us fear change while living through each season - good with the bad and vice versa - but there is nothing to do about it because it's the way life works and I'd even say that there is no winter without spring as well as no summer without autumn. Winter ends with spring coming to life and summer ends with autumn letting go of life. So next time you fear a change, think about the apple or cherry tree blossoms, the sound of the river flowing, the warm wind in your hair and lots of wildflowers. Or colourful leaves, rainy and stormy days, pumpkins growing and harvesting fruit, vegetables and crops. Summer and winter have their own magic too, but I think I've said it all with the poem. Enjoy it while you can in whatever state you are and try to keep in mind that the pain ends soon and there is another day to feel joy again.
With love,
M.
