After getting ready for the day and having breakfast, I decide to pay Eddie a little visit. I just want to know if he really forgot me yesterday at school and if he just couldn't or wouldn't hang out with me.

I hop in my car, turning it and the radio on before making my way to the trailer park. Once I arrive, his van isn't parked near his trailer. Wayne is sitting on the steps and looks in my direction when I get out of my car.

"Hey Wayne, have you seen Eddie?" I ask him with furrowed brows.

"I was going to ask you the same thing kid"

I take one step on the stairs before Wayne stops me from going further, "I just want to see if he left a note or something" I explain.

"I'm sorry Avery, I wish I knew where he was, but you're not going in there"

My brows pinch together even more because he's never forbade me from entering before, "What happened?"

"God, I wish I knew. I'm waiting for the cops right now" he says while taking a hit on his cigarette. Everything about this is weird. Where is Eddie, and what the hell happened inside that trailer?

I wait with Wayne on the steps until the cops arrive 5 minutes later. Since I'm related to what went on in there, I get pushed out of the premises, just like the rest of the trailer park residents.

"Avery, what's going on?" I hear a voice behind me. I turn to see Max standing outside, still in her pyjamas.

"I don't know, Wayne won't tell me anything and Eddie's missing" I say while looking at the cops walking around. The only glimpse I can catch of the inside, is of a blonde person's body, laying limp on the floor. "What the hell?"

"Hey you two, you shouldn't be here, get back" a police officer tells us. We back away and I place my hand on Max's shoulder.

"Max, did you see anything weird last night? Did you see Eddie at all?"

The girl doesn't respond right away. It's like she doesn't know if she should tell me what she saw last night.

"Let me get dressed, and we'll go see Dustin. I'll explain once we're there" Max says while walking back to her trailer and I get back inside my car to wait for her.

Max rings the doorbell of Dustin's house.

The young boy opens the door, surprised to see us in front of him, that early in the day.

"We need to have a talk" Max says and Dustin immediatley let us in, guiding us to his bedroom. I say 'hi' to his mom on the way. She looks on the verge of tears while watching the news. It is now being reported that a Hawkins High School student was found dead but the name isn't said, neither is the cause of death.

"I know who died last night" Max speaks up when the door of the bedroom is finally closed. "It was Chrissy, the blonde cheerleader. Jason's girlfriend" I pause at her words, wondering why she would be dead in Eddie's trailer right now.

"Chrissy Cunningham?" Dustin asks the redhead, "You're sure it was Chrissy?"

"Yes, me and Avery got a glimpse of the body this morning. It was her cheer uniform, the same she was wearing when I saw her with Eddie"

"Wait, you saw her with Eddie? He came home last night with her?" I ask Max. Did he really ditch me for Chrissy? Why didn't he tell me?

"Yeah" Max says slowly.

"Did you tell all of this to the cops?" Dustin paces around the room.

"No" she replies, "No, but I can't be the only one who saw them together, I mean, they stood out"
