9 ; deal

— y/n's pov.

It's 4:00 AM, I haven't got any sleep - After i left Omen's room i went to Viper's lab immediately, There are a bunch of papers on the floor - It's a mess. I hear the door open, It's Viper - "You're up early, What's with the papers?" She asks - "I've been researching on something." I say and turn to her, I have dark circles underneath my eyes. "I haven't slept yet." I sigh - "What are you researching about?" She asks and i don't respond - "I want to help." She says putting her on my shoulder - "What happened with Omen?" I ask and she's obviously shocked by my question - "If you aren't able to answer my question, I don't think you can help me in any way." I say in a stern voice, She obviously knew more about this than Cypher, She doesn't answer. That's what i thought.

"Goodluck then." She says as she leaves, It's better if she's not involved in this project anyway - The only thing she can provide me with is information but unfortunately she refuses to say anything, I sigh and pick up my phone from my pocket and check my contacts to call Chamber - He's in touch with his clone self, He definitely will be useful. He picks up. "Chamber, Let's make a deal - Meet me at Viper's lab." I say in a serious voice and then i hear a mumble through the phone. Shit. It's Omen - "Oops sorry, Omen." I laugh "I got the wrong number, Sorry. Did i wake you up?" I say. "No, Not at all. Why are you up so early?" He asks through the phone, I flush at his morning voice,

"Ah, I haven't slept yet, I'm researching about something, I was going to call Chamber since he could help me with it. Sorry for disturbing you, Goodbye Omen." I say and he hangs up, That was embarassing - I need more sleep, I check my contacts again and double check if it's Chamber this time. "Hey, Sorry to disturb you in this hour but could we make a deal?" I ask him "It depends. Don't worry, You didn't wake me up." He says and i sigh in relief - "I'll be there." He says - "Okay, Bye." I hang up, I just realized the mess on the floor and i sigh and pick them up, They're filled with my previous ideas for fixing Omen, Ever since i saw his face i felt the urge to fix him, That's why i called Chamber here, I found a solution,

I hear a knock and i open to see Chamber, Clean as usual - I feel embarassed that i look like a mess and he doesn't, My hair's all messed up and there are dark circles under my face and there's papers all round crumpled and non-crumpled ones and there's just an octopus plush on the floor. "Sorry about the mess, I was just really busy and didn't notice." I say playing with my thumbs. "No worries." He smiles and comes in "What's the deal?" He asks - Ah, Straight to the point. "Well, I know how you're in touch with your Mirror self, I'd like to make a deal with you or both of you, I want to meet with Mirror Omen and make a deal with him aswell." I say and he raises an eyebrow - "What's in it for me?" He asks as he picks up a sheet of paper on the ground and hand it to me,

"You can have anything you want from me, Ask me to do anything - I'll do it. You in?" I say, I genuinely did not think this through and he smirks - "Anything?" I sigh at his question and nod - "Well then, I'm in - We could meet him later today." He says and my eyes widen, I didn't think it would be this soon but i'm not complaining. "Alright." I sigh, Exhausted. "May i ask what your deal is with Mirror Omen?" He asks, "I'm planning to examine him since he's connected to our Omen and he's a clone of Omen, He must feel the pain like our Omen, I'm planning to test on him since he can just respawn anyway since he's a clone, He'll have to accept because if i improve the original Omen, It would benefit him aswell, If it doesn't go well i'll ask how to make an artificial human so Omen's soul can use it as a vessel and he won't feel pain, It's a win-win." I say without stuttering,

Chamber's obviously impressed with my plan, Of course i have a back-up plan for my back-up plan just incase, "Your plans never fail to amuse me, Mon chéri." He laughs and i smile and scratch my ear, Flattered by his compliment, I gather all my papers and stack them with eachother and i throw the ones that are crumpled. "What did you want in return?" I ask Chamber looking through my papers. "Go on a date with me." He says and i blink in confusion - What?? Is that really all? "What for?" I ask in confusion. "Don't make me repeat." He laughs, A date? I've never been on a date before - Of course, I've been asked out before but i turned everyone down, I have more important things to do but a deal's a deal,

"We could do it Sunday, Which is tomorrow." He says his hand on the counter, I sigh and nod - "I'll be on my way now. Please, Try to get some rest." He smiles as he leaves. It's Saturday - Viper's on break, I would bother her but she just left.

A few hours go by and it's time for me and Chamber to meet his Mirror self and Mirror Omen, I pack a bag - Obviously, I'm not going to examine Mirror Omen here, Chamber rented a lab for me - It better look good or i'm going to eat him alive. I get ready, It's about 10:30 AM, I have not slept at all - I found out a way to make my acidic liquids do more damage, I tested it out on myself - Unfortunately, I'm not immune to it because technically it isn't water. I sigh as i wait for Chamber, I'm wearing a hoodie to cover the burn marks on my arm - They really sting, But i don't mind. I spot Chamber and wave at him signalling him to come over,

He's wearing his usual but without the vest and his tie is the same color as his gloves, He comes over and looks at me up and down and our eyes meet he grabs my wrist, My arm flinches - It hurts. "I told you to rest, Didn't i?" He says. "Sorry, I was working on something." I say in a tired voice his eyes widen - "Sorry, I didn't mean to touch you without permission, Hopefully you can sleep on the way there." He says fixing his tie, Embarassed - I smile at him. We walk together to the Rabat, Does he know how to drive? He let's me go first, "Who's driving?" I ask him and he gets on, "Brimstone, I payed him." I laugh - Of course, He did.

"Where to?" I hear Brimstone ask, "Just drop us off at Fracture, Thank you." Chamber says, I've been to Fracture before. "Are you guys on a date?" Brimstone asks - "No, We're not" I smile awkwardly, "Our dates tomorrow, We're just meeting up with someone." Chamber laughs and i feel embarassed when he said that, Brimstone's definitely not keeping his mouth shut when he heads back, I sigh. I sit down and put my bag on my lap and open it to grab the octopus plush that Omen gave me, Chamber sits beside me - "I thought you had your science stuff in there?" He asks, "Ah, Yes i do - I just brang this for emotional support." I say and he laughs,

"It's cute." He smiles - "Yeah, Omen gave it to me." I smile back but he isn't smiling anymore, Does he not like Omen? I sigh and scroll on my phone for awhile. 30 minutes pass and we arrive at the place, Brimstone drops us off and i follow Chamber and he doesn't say a word we arrive at the place, It's massive - This must be expensive, He notices my smile - "Like it?" He asks, "I love it." I say grinning. I guess all we have to do now is wait for them.
