~Aliyah's POV

I went back to my locker after homeroom to be greeted by Yasmine once again.

"Hey, how was homeroom?" she asked.

"It was okay, quiet though."

We grabbed our supplies for Social Studies and closed our lockers.

I looked up and almost had a heart attack.

It was Jacob.

I dropped my books on purpose and bent down to pick them up to avoid eye contact.

"Hey baby." Yasmine said, pecking Jacob on the cheek.

Baby?

I grabbed the rest of my stuff and sped to Social Studies before hearing anything else.

The teacher for Social Studies was Mr.Odom. He was buff, very tall with a deep voice. He should've been a P.E teacher. He told me to pick a seat in the back.

I scanned the room for any familiar faces, and a smile from ear to ear grew on my face when I saw Craig grinning and pointing in the seat next to his for me to sit in.

I chose the seat next to Craig, and waved at him.

He waved back, and we turned our attention to Mr.Odom.

He made me stand up, and introduce myself.

"Um, my name is Aliyah-"

~Jacob's POV

Me and Yasmine walked hand-in-hand to Social Studies, and I nearly passed out when I saw Aliyah in there.

"Oh HELL NO!" I yelled as soon as I saw her.

A few people laughed, and Mr. Odom looked at me, shocked.

Yasmine took her seat, and I just stood in the doorway.

"Mr.Perez, is there a problem?" Mr.Odom said.

"Yes! Um, I mean no. Sorry." I took my seat behind Yasmine.

"My name is Aliyah Johnson, I'm from New York,-" she started.

"Crack baby." I mumbled under my breath.

"And, I just hope to make new friends and learn, of course." she said before sitting down.

I felt my phone vibrate and secretly checked it.

It was Yasmine, with a text.

'I heard that. Be nice!' it said.

'What u talkin' bout?' I replied.

Mr. Odom started the lesson.

I snuck a peak at Aliyah, silently flirting with Craig.

That tramp.

'Ill talk 2 uu after class.' Yasmine texted.

I couldn't wait for Social Studies to be over.

When the bell rang, I literally praised Jesus before walking out to my locker.

"What was that all about?" Yasmine asked, walking up to me.

"What?"

"Boy, don't play dumb with me. Why'd you call Aliyah a crack baby? You don't even know her." She said.

"Yes I do." I quickly covered my mouth after that last sentence.

"You know her?" She grew supicious.
