Again, I know her hair isn't that long but you know, it's all I have to work with!! Xoxo Enjoy!

It had been six months to the day that they'd been married and it was the fifth time since their wedding that Rory was looking at a negative pregnancy test. She cursed and threw the stick in the trash before stomping down to the kitchen.

"Morning Mama!" Emma sang out from her booster seat at the table. "Daddy is making breakfast."

"He's burning breakfast." Rory corrected with a forced grin. "Flip them or they'll burn, Hap."

He flipped the pancakes quickly and looked at her, his eyes dark with concern. "Anything?"

"Big fat nothing, again."

There weren't many things that made Happy feel like less of a man but being unable to get his wife pregnant did the trick. The fact it was almost 99% a problem on her end didn't do much to help boost his masculinity.

"We'll try again."

"Yeah." She poured coffee into a plastic to go mug and gave him a weak fleeting kiss. "If someone saw you right now they'd think you knew what you were doing."

"I'd tell em' you made the batter last night." He laughed. "I don't want the credit, I'm not a chick."

She nodded and kissed Emma on the forehead. "You be good at daycare, hear me?"

"I promise!" The girl shouted. "No more hair pulling." She said in unison with Happy.

Rory tried to find some humor in it but she couldn't. "I'll pick her up around lunch with I'm done with Parker."

"Yeah. I got a late one. Don't wait up."

She looked at him for a long moment before nodding and heading out the door. Everyday was worse. She felt suffocated and angry in that house and deep down, despite her want, she knew another baby would not fix whatever she was feeling.

--

"Indian Hills?" Happy grinned at the news that they'd be heading to Nevada for their run. "Jury's got pussy for days."

"So do you." Tig jabbed Happy in the ribs. "I'm fucking with you. What happens on a run, brother."

Rory had said that to him once. She told him that old MC adage meant nothing and it wouldn't be how their relationship worked. "Exactly." He nodded and followed Tig, Jax and Bobby out to their bikes.

"Let's have some fun." Tig shouted, turning the throttle and following Jax out of the lot.

"Hey." Rory beamed as she jumped in Parker's truck. "Slow day?"

He rolled his eyes and nodded as he handed her the donut box from his side of the dashboard. "I saved you one."

"Just one?" She feigned excitement. "Why thank you. How many did you eat?"

"Two." He shrugged and sipped his coffee. "You alright?" Resting his hand on her shoulder he ran his thumb along her cheek for a split second.

"Peachy keen." She sang and ate the donut. "I just wanna work."

"Alright, girl, let's go." Parker pulled out but the driver racing up the street behind him didn't bother looking before turning the corner. The car slammed into Parker's truck sending Rory's head, without her seat belt, into the windshield.

"Shit, Rory, are you okay?" Parker sat her back and examined her head. "Come on, girlie." He smiled as she opened her eyes. "Thank God."

She sat for a minute before getting herself together as much as she could. "I'm gonna kill that asshole." She jumped out of the truck, wobbly and dazed, and began shouting at the driver. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Me? It's called a rearview for a reason, cunt!"

That word sent her into a blind rage. Rory reached in the open window and gripped the man's collar. "Apologize." She ordered, slamming her fist into his eye socket.

"Rory," Parker ripped her from the other driver and pushed her against the hood of his car. "Stop. What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"He hit us, he called me a cunt." The force he used to hold her still was turning Rory on as she struggled against him.

"Come on, get in the truck." He pushed her toward the passenger door before apologizing to the driver. "I don't know what got into her. I'm sorry."

"Keep your bitch on a leash." The man barked as he scribbled his insurance information down. Parker took the paper and in exchange threw a solid punch that collided with the man's jaw.

"Don't ever talk about her like that."
