Friday Night (New Years Eve)

I was at Bobby's house sitting in the twins room while they did my hair, makeup, and nails. I felt like an actual princess being pampered. They were excited to try out the new techniques they learned at school.

"I like your hair like this" Britney complimented. She straightened it but gave it a bit of volume and a slight curl at the bottom. "I'm telling you in a few years this is gonna be the next big hair style. It's less teasing then we do now"

"Thank you, I really like it" I said, moving my head slightly to see my hair move. "How'd you get it like this?" I asked

"If I told you, you wouldn't need me to do it for you"

"Ok fine don't tell me"

"Stop moving, I need the liner to be even"

"Oh sorry Elle I thought you were done"

"No, I'm almost done though" she clarified. I told her I didn't want any eyeshadow but she promised it wouldn't be too much. I wasn't sure what she was doing but I trusted her so I didn't mind. They made me wear a black silk robe while they were finishing the makeover.

I looked down and saw my nails painted a dark red color. "Brit?"

"Yeah?"

"I thought you were going to paint them white or black so it matched with whatever I picked out"

"Trust me it will"

"But I don't even know what I'm going to wear tonight"

"Brielle go get the box" Britney ordered. "Before Bobby left he said there was a box downstairs for you from Johnny. I may have opened it." She admitted

"What is it?"

"You'll see" and just then Brielle walked back into the room with the box

"Here you go" Elle handed it to me

I took the lid off the box and my eyes widened. "No way! It's gorgeous" I said, stunned at what I was looking at. It was a beautiful black sequin dress. I searched the dress and the box for a price tag, the dress definitely cost a couple hundred dollars. Underneath the dress was a note that said

Happy New Year's Eve, got you a present for tonight. Wear the dress and I'll see you when you get here. I love you -Johnny :)

written in his handwriting. The 'I love you' was underlined three times which made me smile."Hurry up and finish so I can put it on"

"Don't rush the artist"

"Sorry" I muttered. I sat as patiently as I could while they finished so I could get dressed.

"Ok and you are done" she said happily, she turned me around and let me finally see myself in the mirror. I liked it a lot. It wasn't over the top, it was subtle but enough to notice.

"Wow" I said

"What do you think?" Britney asked

"I think I'm really fucking hot" I smiled at myself in the mirror

"Ooo she's feeling confident" she cheered. "Go get dress, me and Elle will do the same"

"Ok! Hey wait? Is everyone gonna be as sparkly because I don't wanna be too out there you know?"

"Every girl either has to have a sparkly outfit or have some type of glittery makeup. And all the guys have to get somewhat dressed up" Elle explained

"Huh I wonder which one of them came up with that rule" I said, since I wasn't told of this before hand
