I finally get the dress code lifted.

Sweet pea met my parents and I sat with Jughead

"Do you think I should do the dance and just join already?" I ask him

"If you want to I can set it up for you" he says

"I think I do jug" I say and he nods his head

"Alright then I'll talk to my dad" he says

At school the next day me and Toni walk into the lounge and see jug who sees us and grabs his stuff and walks over to us

"After school tomorrow, is that good?" Jughead asks

"Yeah of course" I say and walk inside and sit down with Betty.

"Betts I'm gonna do the dance, I already spoken to sweets and he is on board can you help me" I ask her

"Of course" she says

After school I go over to Betty's

"We haven't hung out in so long" I say

"That's because your always with the serpents now" she says

"I know I'm sorry I promise from now on I will make more effort to hang with you betts but you have to do the same" I say

"Promise" she says

She teaches me the dance and after awhile it gets late so I head home.

The next day at school I run into Jughead

"We'll all set at the wyrm tonight" he says and I nod my head and walk to the lounge.

School goes by pretty fast

After school I get dressed into black lingerie and black leather shorts.

I put on a silk black robe over it and heels my hair is down. My song starts and I walk out on stage to a bunch of whistles and woos

I let the robe fall off me I start to do the snake dance as I get a lot more whoops and applauses.

My eyes never leave sweet peas he holds a jacket in his hand.

After my song ends FP and sweet pea jump on stage "give it up for our newest member, Avery lodge" FP says in the mic

Sweet pea puts my robe on me then the serpent jacket.

A guy whistles at me

"Shut it" sweet pea says to him "guess what bro she's coming home with me tonight, your going home with you hand" he yells and we get off stage. I change back into my clothes and walk out with the jacket on

"I should have recorded that so I could watch it over and over again" sweet pea says

"Awe my sweets well if you ever want to see it again just ask and I might reward you" I say patting his cheek

"You look so hot in that" he says to me "oh yeah?" I say to him and he kisses me

The next day at breakfast I sit with my mom and sister eating

"You're not hungry, mija?" My mother asks v "is it Archie and your dad?" She asks

"No it's Josie, we got into a fight and she dropped out of Pickens day" v says

"I see" our mother says I rub vs's shoulder
"And this is Sierras doing I assume?" My mother asks and v nodded

"That's it, I'm taking care of this" she says

"No. Mom it's like you said, our family works differently from other families and if Josie and mayor McCoy don't like the way we do business, that's on them. But the show must go on" v says

"Count me in v I will gladly take Josie's place" I say and she smiles at me.

After school I get dressed for Pickens day I haven't seen sweet pea all day long.

I walk around around and get a small popcorn

Fred goes up and introduce us

I stand next to v

"Nightshades on a warning give me strength or give me a light" v sings

"Give me anything even sympathy there's a chance you could be right" I sing

"If I listen close I can hear them singers" her and I both sing

"Oh, oh, oh voices in your body coming through on the radio" v sings

"The union of the snake is on the climb, moving up, it's gonna race it's gonna break through the borderline" I sing I look over and see sweet pea and the rest on the serpents protesting and I smile at them

"Toni? Jughead? What the hell is going on?" V asks

"They have something to say sister, let's let it be said" I say stepping down

"We're here representing the dead and the silenced, Pickens day is a lie. General Pickens slaughtered the uktena tribe, my grandfathers family and this land, the land that we are standing on, the land that will soon give way to a new southside was stolen from them and we can't bring them back" Toni sees I see my father start to walk up

"But we can and we must honor them" Toni says

"Don't you dare" I say as he walks up and goes to the mic

"Hey folks, hi. Uh I think we can all be proud to live in a riverdale where young people stand up for justice where a young women can defend the honor and legacy of her grandfather and where we can celebrate the living legacy of the Uktena who contribute to the rich tapestry that is riverdale, that is the southside and that will be SoDale so let's hear a round of applause for that, am I right?" He says and people start clapping

"That's right what do you say, people?" He continues

He looks and me and points to me and next to him

"I'm so sorry Toni" I say and I go over to him he pulls me aside

"What are you thinking mija!" He says

"What do you mean I didn't know about this but I support it" I say

"This day is supposed to help the family business what you wanted to be apart of" he says

"I am apart of it daddy, but I will support my friends and boyfriend when they are standing up for something they believe in. I only wish they told me before hand cuz I would be marching right with them" I say and storm off

I go to the wyrm And sit with Toni fangs and sweet pea

"I'm sorry if we got you into trouble" Toni says to me

"Don't ever be sorry for something that is right Toni I just wish you would have told me I would have been with you all the way" I say

"Sweet pea decided not to tell you" fangs says

"What why?" I asked turning to him

"Because I didn't want you to have to choose between us and your family" he says

"Awe my sweets, I did the dance I am a serpent, I want to know these things. Especially if it's for good. I will gladly deal with my fathers wrath. It should be my choice not yours" I say looking at him

"I know next time you will know I promise" he says and I lean over and kiss him "good"
