I went to the wyrm with sweets while Archie and his dad is at mine for dinner about his dad running for mayor.

The next day I left before my parents to go sit with Jughead

I sat with Archie and Jughead in our classroom "are you still going after Hiram lodge?" Archie asks
"Well that depends who's asking, you? Veronica? The archfiend himself?" Jughead asks
"Jug, there's gonna be a special election to replace Josie's mom Hiram lodge wants my dad to run" Archie says
"What why" Jughead asks looking at me
"His dad is well respected and loved by all in riverdale" I say
"Jughead I'm with Veronica so that means I'm with the lodges. but my dad, I can't let him get in any deeper with them" Archie says

"I love Fred I don't know what my dad has planned so I want to stop this as well" I say

"So tell him he shouldn't run" Jughead says

"Veronica would kill me if I did and ditto the lodges" Archie says

"Why do you think I had to make a deal with my father for him to stay away from sweet pea" I say to Jughead

"Maybe we could give you something maybe you could write about it and that it might make my dad hit pause" Archie says

"Jug u have to tell you something Archie convinced me it was important, I got asked to not tell anyone that's why I never told you" I say

"Okay" he says

"You remember when my dad gave pop that generous donation to pop tate at the time I didn't know but he actually bought it" I say

"What?" Jughead says

"For some reason he doesn't want anyone to know about it" Archie says

"Can we do something with this fact?" I ask him

"At least enough to make my dad think twice about this stupid mayor idea" Archie says

"He bought the diner?" Jughead asks

"Yes" me and Archie say

He pulls a map down and pins where pops place is "god! Hiram is like Dracula, snapping up properties from all over riverdale to expand his empire and feed, if what you're telling me is true. Everyone is in danger" Jughead says to us

We go over to Betty's and we stand over the map Jughead has laid out

"I figured out Hiram's methodology, he requires devalued land at a deep some might say criminal discount, twilight drive in, sunny side trailer park, southside high and now pops chock'lit shoppe" Jughead says

"Wait pops?" Alice says

"Hiram bought pops?" Betty asked

"So why is his daughter hearing all of this" Alice asked

"Because ever since I started doing business with my father I'm the mole on this inside, but my mistake was saying how I'm dating a serpent. It's been harder to get stuff out of him now but I did know about the school and pops" I say

"She has proven her loyalty to us over and over, but anyway while most people didn't care about Hiram's other acquisitions, probably because they were on the southside" Jughead starts

"Pope is the heart of riverdale" Betty says

"Right people will care about this one" Jughead says

"So, when are you talking to pops?" Alice asks Jughead

"I would go with you jug but if my dad in anyway finds out I'm helping you expose him" I start

"I know I understand we have to keep your involvement on the down low" he says
