Chapter 31

Skip to the days of the gala

Everything was ready for the gala, ready celebrities had flown in  from all over the world to help stop the liar and sue her at the end of the night.

The girls had been getting ready with the short time frame, most of the dresses they got were decent but could have been a lot better. Lila and Alya's dresses were far from gala worthy.

When Alya had first heard about the gala she was thrilled till she remembered she wouldn't be able to go with Nino like she did at all events, this would be her first public event without him.

It had taken a lot of convincing from Lila and the girls to convince her to go, Lila had to keep up the best friend act throughout the whole time Alya planned on going when really she couldn't care less if she went or not.

Marinette had spent a whole day leaving the boys to prepare the gala while she worked on the dress, the boys had to make sure all the main lines were ready and the video would be able to be shown at the gala.

Along with checking the lawsuits, they had made a copy of them and sent them ahead of time to Lila's mother who knew of the situation as of a few days ago. The boys hesitantly told them her plan to expose her and how they had hurt Marinette.

Mrs Rossi was more than shocked about what her daughter had done and said they could expose as if a child should have to go through with what Marinette did.

While the boys took care of finalising details of the gala, Marinette had started working a way on her dress. She had an old dress she started making for a charity gala she was supposed to go to with Damian.

But had gotten shot while stopping a mugging a couple days before so Bruce said she was to stay and rest, to say the dress was near from being done was an understatement but Marinette was more than willing to work through the night if she had to.

Now it was time for the gala and all her hard work would be worth it, now she was getting ready in her room while the boys got ready in Nino's so across from, Damian had a black suit while Adrien had the same but with a green tie and Nino had the one chosen few days ago.

Marinette looked back at herself in the mirror. Her hair had been curled lightly for the occasion and she had gone with smokey eyes and red lipstick along with a set of red heels.

There wasn't long till the gala began, Marinette, Nino, Adrien and Damian had to arrive in the next twenty minutes to make sure everything was ready and nothing was out of place, soon after celebrities would arrive and then the class.

The class would be arriving right in time for the main act.

Sorry for  not updating in a while. I have been working on other stories but I will be updating my other books soon. I will also make sure the next few chapters are much longer.

I can't believe we are nearly at the end of this book. I'm shocked that one day I barely had ten views on my first book 'Changed'. When I had decided to post a second book and hoped it would turn out better and in nearly a year I have up to 45.1k I just can't thank you all enough for the reads, votes and everything.
