Once again we are all standing outside her hospital room. But this time is different. This time she has woken up and I have a new girlfriend. We look at each other, Nita is holding my hand hard, like she is afraid I will let go and disappear and Shauna opens the door and we all walk in, Tris parents and Caleb are surrounding her and they smile, happy tears on her mother’s face and she looks up and smiles a smile at us.

“T-tobias?” a shaky voice says and we all gather around her bed instead.

“Tris” I breathe out. It´s an awkward situation. I´m visiting my ex-girlfriend at the hospital with my new girlfriend.

“Are you okay?” Christina asks as she is crushing Tris in a hug

“Yeah, I´m fine” she smiles, her eyes find mine and they travel down to my hand in Nita´s. Tris crumples her eyebrow in confusion as she look between me and Nita.

“Who´s that?” she finally said, everybody had hold their breaths.

“Nita.. M-my… girlfriend” I said as powerful I could, the problem was, I was not feeling powerful at all.

“Girlfriend?” she repeated, disbelief clear in her voice

“Yeah..”

“W-what about me…?” she whispered and now it was my turn to crumple my eyebrows

“What about you?” I said

“I thought… I thought I was your girlfriend…” she choked out, tears brimming her eyes. What the hell! She broke up with me, not the other way around! She doesn’t have the right to feel bad because I have a new girlfriend! She doesn’t have the right to be sad

“Girlfriend? You broke up with me, remember?” I spit at her

“W-what…?” she said looking horrified

“Don´t play dumb, Tris!”

“When..?” she asked

“When you left for the second time!”

“What are you talking about?” she said, confusion written all over her face

“You don´t remember?” Marlene suddenly asked

“Remember what?”

“That you left town, twice, combined you have been gone like a whole year” Zeke told her. More confusion on her face. Her eyes still staring at mine and Nita’s hands

“Oh..” was all she said as a tear fell out her eyes. I longed to embrace her, hold her tight and never ever letting go. I longed for her.
