Two days had passed since Kayleen’s incident of fainting. I was worried, sitting on the foot of the hospital bed wondering when she'd awake. I was sitting at the end of bed thinking when Seb walked in with Brendan in his arms.
"Daddy!" Brendan exclaimed as he ran over and hugged me
"Hi buddy" I said
"Why is sissy at the doctors?" He asked a little confused. I looked at Seb with a look that was asking him to explain to Brendan
"Well, bud sissy got hurt." Seb said
"Is she ok?" Brendan asked with a sad face well looking at her
"Yeah bud she'll be ok" I said with tears in my eyes
"Don't cry daddy" Brendan said well hugging me
"I won't buddy" I said
"Can I lay with her?" Brendan asked
"Sure buddy just be careful of her ok shes hurt" Seb said
"Ok papa" Brendan said as he crawled over to her side
We told Brendan to lay on her left side cause she has an iv in her right hand. Then the doctor walked in.
"Mr. Evans, Mr. Stan can I speak to you for a second." Doctor Carmen said
"Yeah one second please" I said
"Sure i'll be right outside the door when your ready" She said in a sweet tone
"Thank you" Seb said as she walked out
"Hey, bud can you do something for me and papa?" I said
"Yes daddy" He said
"Watch your sister and come get us if she wakes up. Ok?" Seb said
"Ok. Where are you going?" He questioned
"Right outside the door to talk to the doctor" Seb said
"Ok, papa." He said as he cuddled up with Kayleen. We walked out of the room and over to the doctor.
"So Mr. Evans and Mr. Stan I have some good news." she said
"Ok" I said curiously
"So Kayleen should wake up either today or tomorrow but when she does we need to keep her a day or two after to monitor her. Other than that everything looks good." She said
"That’s ok as long as she’s ok." Seb said
"Thank you so much for taking care of our little girl." I said
"Your very welcome Mr. Evans. Now I know you probably want to get back to your kids so let me know if you need anything. I'll be back in an hour or so to check on her." She said with a soft smile
After a quick ok from me and Seb, she walked away and we walked back in the room to see Brendan asleep well Kayleen was awake. She was sitting up well holding Brendan. When she looked up at us we saw tears in her eyes. We moved Brendan from Kayleen’s side and put him on the couch in the room then went to her side.
“How are you feeling honey?” Seb asked
“I’m sorry dads I shouldn’t have been acting like that. I’m really sorry!” She said well crying
“No baby girl we’re sorry we shouldn’t have yelled at you like that.” I said well holding on to her hand
“I thought you were gonna be mad at me” She said well playing with my hand
“No honey were not mad” Seb said
“Promise your not mad” She said
“We promise baby” Me and seb said
~Three Days Later~
Kayleen POV
I got discharged from the hospital 2 nights ago and then left from grandmas last night. We just had a lazy day today because the doctor told me to take it easy for a week or two. We just ate dinner and watched a movie but we had to go to bed. I was laying there trying to sleep but couldn’t so i just layed therescrolling on tiktok for like 2 hours and eventually fell asleep.
