Hello readerrrrrs.(:

How are we all doing today? I don't have much to say right now, except for some info about this chapter. This chapter is completely different from the ones before, because it's from a different POV (point of view). This chapter is from Mr. Matthew's perspective, and I really hope that you guys enjoy it. Let me know if you guys like it from his POV, because if you do, maybe I'll do another chapter with his POV in one of the following chapters. :) Enjoy!!

I looked up and down her body, and I couldn’t help but linger below her shoulders. “Well you aren’t Harrison. You’re much better than Harrison to be exact.” I said accidentally, blurting it out.

She let out a shriek and pulled the shower curtain toward her, wrapping it around her body. “What are you doing? Turn around.” She screamed.

I’d rather not, I thought, but I handed her a towel and mumbled an apology, “Sorry.”

I heard the shower shut off; the water coming to a stop. I waited until I heard the crinkling of the shower curtain and turned around. Her body was now wrapped tightly in the brown towel that I had handed her. She ran a hand through her hair nervously.

“Mr. Matthews, what were you doing? You're my boss!’ She exclaimed.

“There is something wrong with my shower; it messes up a lot. I needed to come in here to take a shower, because I have a meeting in the city this morning. Sometimes Harrison takes showers in here, and I heard the water running, so I came in here to kick him out. I forgot that you might have been using this shower.” I explained quickly.

“Oh. Well…” She trailed off, looking everywhere but at me.

“Well, I better get into the shower, before I’m late for my meeting.” I said after a while of awkward silence.

“Oh, sure! Have a good shower then…” She said, remaining where she was. I looked at her a few seconds waiting for her to move, but she didn’t.

“I have to take a shower in here, remember?” I asked.

“Oh, right! Sorry!” She squeaked. She whizzed around me and out of the room. I couldn’t help but watch as she walked away. I knew perfectly that we couldn’t be together. It was crystal clear in my mind, crystal clear, but she was just so irresistible. Stop thinking that. She isn’t irresistible; she can’t be. I’m her boss, and nothing could happen between us.  I was the boss, and she was merely an employee. You do not mix business with pleasure, and that was final. I couldn’t have feelings for her, and I knew that, but it was just so hard to not have these feelings.

I closed the door but didn’t bother to lock it. I knew that there would be no chance of her walking in because of what just happened, but if she did come in again, I’m not going to say that I would be disappointed. I pulled the shirt that I had thrown on earlier this morning off of my body and kicked my boxers to the ground.

I got into the shower, stepping in the same places that she had stepped in only a few minutes ago. I ducked under the hot water, trying to clear my thoughts. When that didn’t work, I turned the shower knob, making the water go so cold that I was literally hopping from foot to foot and shivering. But, I lucked out and stopped thinking about Natalie. I stepped out of the shower and shook my hair, making cold water fly out everywhere around me.

I took a towel and wrapped it around my waist. I opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom, only kind of hoping that I would run into Natalie again.

“Stop it.” I muttered with a frown. I need to stop thinking about her.

“Stop what?” She asked from behind me. I turned around, and when I saw her in that maid costume that I forced her to wear, I was sure that my heard skipped a beat. “Did I startle you?” She said.

I shook my head quickly, trying to calm my ragged breathing. “Oh no. I was just heading to my room…” I trailed off and turned around quickly. I hurried into my room, closing the door behind me and locking it firmly.

“Ugh!” I groaned. Looking up at the ceiling, I shook my fist angrily at God knows what.  I walked into my wardrobe, throwing on a pair of jeans and a button down shirt. I looked at my reflection in the mirror fixing my hair. Wait, fixing my hair? When I realized what I was doing, I messed my up on purpose, trying to make it look like I had just got out of bed. “That girl is going to be the death of me…” I grumbled. “I mean, she’s making me fix my hair.”

I turned and walked back into my room, mumbling profanities as I did so. “You really shouldn’t use that type of language.” She said from behind me.

My neck snapped around so quickly; my body was following. I swear I almost got whip lash. “Would you stop sneaking up on me?!” I snapped at her.

She frowned and looked down. “I’m sorry…” She muttered. She turned and tried to walk away from me, but I caught her wrist.

“I’m not mad, Natalie…”

She sorted. “Yeah, yeah…” She said grumpily, obviously not happy with being told off. “Now, would you let go of my hand, so I could get back to work?” I looked down and realized that as I was speaking, I had moved my hand from her wrist to her hand. And I was now gripping on to her so tightly, my knuckles were white. I let go quickly and felt the heat rise to my cheeks. I looked down, until I heard her footsteps fading away. I watched her go down the stairs, dusting as she went.

I sat down on my bed and placed my head in my hands. “What have you gotten yourself into now, sir?” Harrington asked from the doorway, looking at me with care. I sighed, bringing my hands away and looked up to face him.

I have no clue, Harrington. No clue at all…”

He nodded thoughtfully. “Well, you better get a clue quickly, because that girl is already head over heels for you. It simply is not polite to lead her on.” He said with a surprisingly forceful tone.

I felt a blush start to creep upon my cheeks and threw my head into my hands. “Since when has being myself even been so complicated?” I groaned into my hands.

Harrington’s footsteps came towards me, and then, he was sitting next to me on the bed. Once he was settled he said, “When that girl stepped through the threshold, she began to alter you completely, and you need to do something about this whole situation, quick.” Before getting up, he patted my back and left me to thinking about what in the world I was going to do.
